Tinker Bell is an animated fantasy film series that’s produced by DisneyToon Studios as part of the larger Disney Fairies franchise. The series mostly revolves around the fairy Tinker Bell from the Peter Pan books but specifically, her appearance in the original Peter Pan movie. Her series began in 2008 and so far, a total of eight films have been made.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, most of the full-length films tend to have a budget of between $30 million to $35 million. A live-action film, starring Reese Witherspoon as Tinker Bell is said to be in development but while that project has yet to leave the drawing board, here’s a ranking of each movie in the series, according to IMDb.

8 The Pirate Fairy (2014) – 6.6

The Pirate Fairy was originally titled Quest for the Queen. New characters, namely Zarina (Christina Hendricks) and James aka Captain Hook (Tom Hiddleston), were introduced here. Problem is, they all but overshadowed Tinker Bell and friends.

In the film, Zarina steals Pixie Hollow’s Blue Pixie Dust and teams up with the villainous pirates of Skull Rock. Tinker Bell and her fellow fairies thus go on a mission to retrieve the Blue Pixie Dust. However, things become a bit more complicated when Tinker and her fairy friends find out that their abilities have been switched.

7 Tinker Bell & The Lost Treasure (2009) – 6.7

Tinker Bell And The Lost Treasure follows Tinker Bell as she is tasked with making sure the magical moonstone keeps the pixie dust in abundant supply. However, Tinker Bell messes up and accidentally breaks the moonstone. She thus works hard to fix it with the assistance of the annoying Terence. She also enlists the help of some friendly insects and eventually manages to fox the moonstone.

6 Tinker Bell (2008) – 6.8

This was the first installment in the Tinker Bell film series and the first film in which Tinker Bell actually spoke. Despite getting a mixed reception from audiences, critics loved it. It currently holds a 90% approval rating on Rotten Tomatoes, while DVD sales brought in an impressive $52,201,882.

The story focusses on a newly born Tinker Bell as she explores Pixie Hollow in the Neverland island. She soon learns that her destiny is to fix things and do so very well because Queen Clarion is always watching. However, Tinker Bell has other desires such as flying to the mainland with her sisters.

5 Tinker Bell & The Great Fairy Rescue (2010) – 6.9

In her third movie, Tinker Bell finds herself stuck inside a human house during a summer visit to England’s flowering meadows. She soon befriends a little girl who believes in fairies. When Tinker’s friends got to save her, they wrongly believe the little girl is responsible for her woes.

Part of the reason why this film looks great is because digital 3D modeling was used while making Tinker Bell And The Great Fairy Rescue. A similarly titled video game for the movie was developed, and it can be played on the Nintendo DS platform. Unlike the previous films, none of the events took place in Pixie Hollow.

4 Pixie Hollow Bake Off (2013) – 7.1

In Pixie Hollow Bake Off, Tinker Bell challenges Gelata to a baking contest to see who can come up with the sweetest cake for the queen’s upcoming party. The baking fairies have managed to make the winning same cake for the queen’s party for close to 400 years, so Tinker felt a change was needed. Tinker ends up making a very attractive cake but she discovers that there’s more to a cake than just looks.
