Yu-Gi-Oh! Master Duel is available on a number of different platforms, but does it support cross-save? Yu-Gi-Oh! Master Duel is Konami’s answer to Hearthstone and Magic: The Gathering Arena, as it will offer a simulation of the Yu-Gi-Oh! card game, allowing fans to play an evolving game that is updated alongside the real-life card game.

Yu-Gi-Oh! Master Duel is a free-to-play game that features over ten thousand Yu-Gi-Oh! cards at launch. The game does have a single-player mode that features some premade scenarios and A.I.-controlled players, but the real meat of the game involves playing against other duelists online. The players wanting a single-player experience should check out Yu-Gi-Oh! Legacy of the Duelist – Link Evolution. As is the case with most free-to-play games, Yu-Gi-Oh! Master Duel features premium currency, which is used to unlock packs and character customization items.

With Yu-Gi-Oh! Master Duel is out now, it can be played on lots of different platforms. As of the time of writing, Yu-Gi-Oh! Master Duel is available on Android and iOS devices, Nintendo Switch, PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S. Luckily for people who want to play the game across multiple devices, Yu-Gi-Oh! Master Duel does support cross-save and cross-play. This means that players can keep their saves across multiple devices and can play with their friends on different platforms. There are some additional steps that need to be taken, in order to enable cross-save support in Yu-Gi-Oh! Master Duel.

How Yu-Gi-Oh! Master Duel Cross-Save Support Works

To enable cross-save, the player needs to have completed the tutorial, which will unlock the main menu. Once the player can reach the main menu, they will have access to the options screen. It’s here they can select Data Transfer (which should be filed under Customer Support). They will then be prompted to create a Konami ID, if they don’t have one already. The screen will give the player a QR code or a web link, which can be used to link their existing Yu-Gi-Oh! Master Duel data to their Konami ID.

Once the player is ready to start Yu-Gi-Oh! Master Duel on another platform, instead of creating a new save file, they need to select the options at the main menu and go through the Data Transfer process there. This will let them connect the game to their account through their Konami ID and use their existing save file. It’s a bit of a pain, but once it’s set up, the player can continue their Yu-Gi-Oh! Master Duel across multiple devices.
