Doom Eternal: How To Kill Cacodemons (The Easy Way)

Face the armies of Hell in the newest installment of the Doom series, Doom Eternal, developed by id Software and published by Bethesda Softworks to save Earth and prevent the destruction of humanity. This fast-paced first-person shooter requires the player to keep the Doom Slayer moving as they pick the perfect demon-slaying weapon from their arsenal. Players will find that the game feels too difficult if they are not properly planning which ammo to use for certain enemies and which enemies they should use execute as quickly as possible.

Doom Eternal has a large roster of demons and guns both new and old. One of the oldest demons in the Doom series, the Cacodemon, makes its return in Doom Eternal along with enemies like the Baron of Hell, Mancubus, and the Pain Elemental. One of the best things about Doom Eternal is that every enemy has some sort of weakness the Doom Slayer can take advantage of. Players can learn these weaknesses by playing through tutorials or checking the listing for that particular enemy. How To Easily Kill Cacodemons In Doom Eternal

There are lots of ways to kill Cacodemons, but this guide will cover the two easiest and quickest ways: with Sticky Bombs or the Ballista.

Players can use an upgrade point to unlock the Sticky Bomb mod for their Combat Shotgun. The Sticky Bomb mod allows the player to convert the Combat Shotgun into a grenade launcher that fires sticky bombs. Shooting one of these sticky bombs or a Frag Grenade into the mouth of a Cacodemon will put it into a Glory Kill state. This means that the player can melee the enemy to instantly kill it in a flashy animation that will drop ammo and health.

The second way to easily kill Cacodemons is to use the Ballista and its Arbalest mod. The Ballista deals extra damage to flying demons, which makes it the perfect choice for dealing with swarms of Cacodemons. The Ballista will already be able to kill Cacodemons in just a few shots, but players can use a mod like Arbalest to charge up a single shot that will kill a Cacodemon instantly. The Ballista is a good option for when there is no time to be switching mods or the Cacodemons are out of reach of being Glory Killed.
