Artist Adam Spizak repurposed DOOM Eternal‘s Maykr Slayer Armor design to create glorious 3D art of the Doom Slayer as an angel-like figure. DOOM Eternal features a surprising number of customization options, allowing players to equip Doom Slayer and his gear with several armor and weapon skins, respectively.

While there are a few armor skins, such as the Doomicorn, that players can no longer unlock due to Twitch Prime bundles, most cosmetics become available by progressing in-game. The Maykr Slayer Skin, however, is awarded to those who purchase DOOM Eternal’s The Ancient Gods – Part One DLC or the Season Pass. This armor dresses the Slayer up in a costume based on the aesthetic design of the Maykrs, an advanced race of hive-minded creatures who closely resemble heavenly beings. They’re anything but angelic, though, evidenced by their past alignment with the demons of Hell.

3D Collage Artist Adam Spizak recently took to Twitter to share his stunning interpretation of DOOM Eternal’s Maykr Slayer Skin. It still follows the pristine white and gold color scheme, but the suit design itself looks much less ornate. And yet fine details adorn every aspect of the imagery, perfectly accentuating Doom Slayer’s angel-like appearance. Even the meat hook-equipped shotgun boasts a heavenly glow. Spizak crafted a stunning redesign of Doom Slayer’s Maykr attire, one that would inarguably fit right at home among DOOM Eternal’s other cosmetic items. And the shooter already boasts a good mix of skins, ranging from Classic Doomguy and Retrowave to Sentinel Armor and Gold Slayer.

DOOM Eternal launched on PC and last-gen consoles in March 2020. The Ancient Gods – Part One arrived several months later in October, dropping players into an all-new experience set shortly after the events of the story campaign. Developer id Software unleashed The Ancient Gods – Part Two earlier this year, putting a pin in the Doom Slayer’s saga for a while. Notably, DOOM Eternal’s most recent update went live in late June, treating PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S users to several new-gen bells and whistles, namely ray tracing, 4K visuals, and higher frame rates.

DOOM Eternal is playable now across Nintendo Switch, PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S platforms.
