Doom Eternal: Slayer Gate Locations

Whether you’re a completionist or a masochist, the Doom: Eternal Slayer Gates are a must. These gates contain extreme challenges that push the player to the brink. This set of challenges is essential to not only getting a 100% achievement but to gaining a tactical advantage. While the Slayer Gates are optional, they are a large risk with the potential for an enormous reward.

Completing the Slayer Gates rewards the player with 3 Weapon Points each as well as one of 6 Empyrean Keys. These keys are needed to unlock the Unmaykr super weapon. Slayer Gates are a challenging risk to the player. Extra lives and ammunition that are lost are not returned to the player after the gate is closed, so be careful. This guide will show you how to find and unlock all 6 Slayer Gates in Doom: Eternal.

Exultia Slayer Gate in Doom Eternal

The Exultia Slayer Key is found near the end of the level. There is a cave located near a lake of lava. Head inside and eliminate the gargoyles. Reach the highest ledge in the cave and use the Dash Refill to reach the archway. Outside of the cave, the Slayer Key is located below on its own platform.

The Gate can be found in the same area before you reach The Betrayer. To the right of the cave entrance, the gate is unmistakable.

Cultist Base Slayer Gate in Doom Eternal

The Cultist Base Slayer Key is a bit difficult to reach. There is a giant statue in the level that needs to be knocked over. Go to the back of that room and look down. There is a climbable portion of the wall. Climb down, turn around and jump to the swing bar. Climb up the other side and jump to the room behind. From there, the platform with the key is visible.

The Gate is located in the room with the statue. Punch through the break in the wall to the right. Inside, the gate is on the floor level to the left.

Super Gore Nest Slayer Gate in Doom Eternal

The Super Gore Nest Key is at the end of this level. The Blue Key is needed to get onto the Grav Lift at the site of the first battle. Ride the lift upward, then jump and dash across to the climbing wall on the right side. At the top, there is an open door. Keep going forward until the room with the broken windows is reached. (Watch out for the Spectre Demon on the way there.) The key is inside the room.

After going back to get the key, this Slayer Gate is located in the heart of the Super Gore Nest. The Gate is located after jumping and dashing through the pipes. Head all the way to the bottom of this area, and the Gate is found.

ARC Complex Slayer Gate in Doom Eternal

The ARC Complex Key is located near the start to the level. Don’t jump out of the window to the other building. Instead, head up the stairs and find the ledge to the left. Jump to the climbing wall and turn around. The Key should be visible at this point. From here, just jump and dash over to it.

In the same location upstairs, the gate is impossible to miss on the right. Remember not to go out of the window at the start of the level. There is no way to get back to this point. The level must be started fresh to reach this gate and its key.

Mars Core Slayer Gate in Doom Eternal

The Mars Core Key is located in the building with the Mars escape pod. Go down the path to the left. There is a console with a button next to it. Push this button, and head back into the previous room. (Watch out for the tentacles.) There is a box near the window in the back. Climb up and punch the vent. The Key is floating in the vent to the right.

In the same room with the escape pods, the Slayer Gate is found after the demons and tentacles. There is a path to the right. Follow the path all the way around and take another right.

Taras Nabad Slayer Gate in Doom Eternal

The final Key is found after the toxic water sewer puzzle. Once you finish the puzzle, the key will be visible inside one of the walls that had to be broken to lower the water level. After unlocking the gate at the bottom, take the path to the top and take a left. At the end of this path, the key is waiting for you.

The Gate is located in the same area but at the very beginning. Take the first left after the elevator to find the Slayer Gate. It is located at the end of the path.
