Dorinda Medley revealed she is open to joining The Real Housewives of New York City again the day before the announcement of the series spin-off. On March 22, Andy Cohen, Bravo reunion and Watch What Happens Live host, did an exclusive interview with Variety where he revealed RHONY will be rebooted with a whole new cast, plus a spin-off series for the original ladies. The news received mixed reviews from fans, but they are excited about the potential return of former RHONY cast members.

After six seasons on the show, Dorinda was fired from RHONY following a season of many lows. Not only did she berate fellow castmate, Tinsley Mortimer, over her relationship with Scott Kluth, but she also made fun of her for wanting to have children at an older age. Dorinda needed a pause from RHONY and took that time to reflect and write a memoir. Now that it’s been almost two years since her firing, Dorinda is ready to get back on the Real Housewives horse.

During an exclusive interview with Page Six, Dorinda expressed her want to join RHONY again in the future. “Listen, I love being on Bravo. I never would have left. That wasn’t my [decision]. I think people think in some ways it was my decision,” the 57-year-old said to the news outlet. “So, I’m always open to it and I enjoyed doing it.” Dorinda said she is a “good Housewife,” which is no surprise. The New York City resident was a breakout star when she joined RHONY season 7, creating iconic lines such as “clip, clip,” “not well b**ch,” “make it nice,” and so many more. If anyone deserves to make their Housewives return, it’s Dorinda.

After Dorinda was fired from RHONY in September 2020, she went on Bethenny Frankel’s podcast, Just B, to discuss her sudden departure. She revealed that she was disappointed she couldn’t redeem herself for RHONY season 13 after a difficult season 12. However, Dorinda came to terms with her pause and kept herself busy with other projects. Dorinda not only wrote a book, but she came out with her own bourbon brand named Blue Stone Manor after her iconic Berkshires home. She even joined the cast of Ultimate Girls Trip season 2, which was filmed at her Connecticut home. Dorinda was able to reconnect with RHONY OG Jill Zarin during the Peacock spin-off and revealed she would love to have the “old-school girls” reunite. However, she failed to mention Ramona Singer, who has been on the series since season 1.

Now that Bravo will be coming out with a The Real Housewives of New York City spin-off with some of the original ladies, Dorinda will likely get her wish and make a return to the show. In the meantime, fans can get excited for Ultimate Girls Trip season 2, which will heavily feature Dorinda.
