During the Hero’s travels across Edrea in Dragon Quest XI, players will come across a number of mysterious Red Doors. There are 14 of these locked doors scattered across Edrea for players to find, each containing its own valuable treasures. But alas, the doors are locked and require the Magic Key in order to open them.

For players at the beginning of their journey, you will have to play through the game mid-way before you are able to open the doors, but for those who are ready to open the doors, this guide will show you where al 14 doors are located, what each one contain, and how to open them.

Obtaining the Magic Key in Dragon Quest XI

Before players can go on their journey to finding and unlocking each of the Red Doors they must first obtain the Magic Key. Players only need a single Magic Key in order to open all 14 doors, and the key can be found during the main storyline in Phnom Nohn.

Players will need to defeat the boss, Dora-in-Grey, located in Phnom Nohn and then complete the main story event. After that, the player will be rewarded with the Magic Key automatically and can begin their quest to find the 14 red doors.

Cobblestone Red Door in Dragon Quest

Each Red Door is marked with a red door symbol on the map showing its exact location. By referencing the photos that accompany each subhead players should easily be able to find each door.

The Cobblestone Red Door contains the Wristorative accessory that increases the player’s max health.

Downtown Heliodor Red Door in Dragon Quest

The Red Door in Downtown Heliodor contains 5,000 gold coins.

Hotte Steppe Red Door in Dragon Quest
