Conjuration is one of the eight schools of magic in Dungeons & Dragons, with conjurers being the specialists who focus on spells belonging to the school. The conjuration spells focus on summoning monsters, moving people from one place to another, and creating matter out of thin air. Arcane spellcasters need a few meat shields around to absorb enemy blows, but conjurers can call their own allies at any time.

The Wizards who choose D&D’s School of Conjuration have access to a mixed bag of abilities. Minor Conjuration at level two is an extremely situational ability, as it allows the character to conjure something out of nothing, and the player’s ingenuity is key to making it useful. Benign Teleportation at level 6 is a lot better, at it lets the conjurer teleport 3oft away, making it a great choice for escaping when within Attack of Opportunity range. Focused Conjuration at level 10 is a fantastic ability, as the conjurer can’t have their concentration broken from damage when using conjuration spells. It’s a shame that the last ability isn’t that great, as Durable Summons at level 14 gives any summoned creatures an additional 30 temporary hit points, which is chump change at that level.

The Player’s Handbook lists all spells alphabetically, with the specific schools noted in the spell descriptions, rather than the initial lists. This guide contains all of the conjuration spells in D&D that are used by every class in the game, with notes next to all of the ritual spells. The guide also contains all of the conjuration spells that appear in official rulebooks, such as Tasha’s Cauldron of Everything and Xanather’s Guide to Everything, all of which are marked, so players know where to find these D&D spells if they wish to learn more.

The conjuration spell list starts out with some amazing control spells, with grease and fog cloud being able to slow down the enemy approach. This continues with web and its ability to lock foes into place, so they can be immolated by helpful party members. The flaming sphere spell is also an excellent choice for a second-level spell, due to its ability to stay on the field and bash/burn foes. The conjurers who hit a high enough level will eventually be able to cast wish, which is the most powerful spell in Dungeons & Dragons but be warned, as it can easily backfire and screw over the player.
