Brian Austin Green isn’t letting his Dancing With the Stars elimination put a damper on his anniversary with Sharna Burgess. The pair have been competing on the ABC show as both a real-life couple and dance partners. Sharna previously opened up about how her romantic relationship with Brian was a disadvantage in the competition. The pro dancer made it clear their relationship with each other always took top priority over their competitive spirit. They put each other’s feelings ahead of the dance, which could have been a factor that lead to their recent elimination.

Brian and Sharna were part of a double elimination on the second part of the show’s two-day Disney Week. While the Monday, October 11 episode featured the contestants dressed as Disney heroes, the Tuesday episode had them play Disney villains. Sharna and Brian were, unfortunately, the first couple to be kicked off, leaving the judges to choose between saving The Real Housewives of Atlanta star Kenya Moore and pro Brandon Armstrong, or The Bachelor star Matt James and his partner, Lindsay Arnold. They ultimately chose to end Matt and Lindsay’s journey on the show, eliminating them along with Brian and Sharna.

Despite having danced their last dance on DWTS, Brian is still in good spirits while celebrating his and Sharna’s first anniversary on Instagram. “1 year of accepting me in a way I’ve never been loved before [red heart emoji] #damnimlucky,Brian captioned the post. The photo he shared was a closeup of his and Sharna’s faces together with a blue and yellow background. “F*ck YEAHHHH!!! [heart eyes emoji],” former DWTS pro Peta Murgatroyd commented on Brian’s post.

Sharna also took to her Instagram Story to share a tribute to Brian. “He doesn’t ‘make me happy,’ I was already happy before him,” Sharna wrote on her Story (via Us Weekly). “But holy s–t does he amplify the f–k out of my happy. #1year.” Along with her caption, she shared a photo of her and Brian kissing. She also posted an edited video of her and Brian from the season premiere of DWTS on her Instagram Story.

Even though Sharna and Brian didn’t get to take home the Mirrorball Trophy at the end of the season, it’s great to see they’re still happily together. Even though fans of DWTS might be sad about their, and Matt and Lindsay’s, recent elimination, there are still a lot of great pairs to root for on season 30. Between YouTube star JoJo Siwa and Olympian Suni Lee, there is plenty of tough competition still to come.
