After their exit from Dancing With The Stars on Tuesday night, there were rumors that Brian Austin Green and Sharna Burgess left sourly, but they have now set the record straight. Brian and his dance partner and girlfriend Sharna were eliminated in the fourth week of DWTS season 30. The week was themed “Disney Night” and featured two episodes: Monday’s “Disney Heroes Night” and “Disney Villains Night” on Tuesday, October 12. On Monday, Brian and Sharna danced a Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs-themed waltz and earned 25 points. On Tuesday night, they danced the paso doble to Pirates of the Caribbean and got 27 points.

The couple scored the lowest points on both nights and were the first to be sent packing on Tuesday, which was a double elimination. Bachelor alum Matt James and his pro partner Lindsay Arnold were the other contestants to be eliminated. During Brian and Sharna’s four weeks on DWTS, the show’s judges often criticized them for being too focused on themselves during their routines. Last week, Sharna also opened up about the difficulties of competing alongside her significant other on the show and said it was almost a challenge. Following Brian and Sharna’s exit from DWTS, the couple did not participate in the usual post-show interviews. Their absence led to rumors that they were embittered about their elimination.

However, Brian and Sharna have set the record straight on their absence from the post-show interviews. As reported by E! News, they took to their Instagram Story on October 13 to explain why they didn’t partake in the interviews. Sharna said, “We didn’t leave before press started, we did wait a good 30 minutes on the Zoom link greenroom waiting for everyone to do press. But nothing came through to us, apparently there was a big mix-up with the Zoom links last night.” Sharna also said she and Brian had to go to the people waiting to get them out of their wigs and makeup. Brian added that they weren’t salty and wanting to storm out of the show. Sharna echoed her boyfriend’s sentiments, saying, “No one is salty. Everyone in the competition is absolutely amazing and we are deeply grateful for our time on it.”

Brian thanked everyone who supported and voted for them during their time on the show. He described their experience as a great one not just because of the people they met but also with the fans who supported them and the chance to dance with each other. Sharna reiterated she and Brian did not skip their press session and added that they might do an Instagram Live later in the week to reflect on their experience and probably answer some questions from fans. She concluded by revealing their immediate plans, saying, “For now, we’re just going to enjoy each other today and enjoy not having anything to do rather than that.”

Brian and Sharna have done well by coming forward to explain why they were absent for their post-show interview. By doing so, the sweet couple cleared the air and nipped any spreading rumor in the bud. Their fans will also be delighted with their plans to have an Instagram Live to recap their Dancing With The Stars experience and possibly answer their questions. Despite not going all the way on the show, Brian and Sharna have undoubtedly enjoyed their time and will have many fond memories to look back on. The show goes on for the contestants still left, who will now be getting their routines right ahead of next week’s Grease episode.

Dancing With The Stars airs Mondays at 8pm on ABC.
