With the Dancing With The Stars season 30 finale just days away, JoJo Siwa is reflecting on how the experience has changed her. The Dance Moms alum has consistently been a frontrunner over the season. Now she’s one of four finalists on her way to win the Mirrorball Trophy.

JoJo made DWTS history by having a same-sex dancing partnership. The openly queer star got her wish, being paired with pro dancer Jenna Johnson. The team’s routines have racked up numerous perfect scores throughout the season. In addition to her dancing skills, the 18-year-old’s more mature transformation over the weeks has also been remarked upon. Judge Carrie Ann Inaba even compared her to season 16 finalist Zendaya, who went from child actor to major movie star post-DWTS. As this season comes to a close, the YouTuber reveals the multiple ways it’s changed her life.

JoJo spoke to HollywoodLife while promoting her new Peacock competition series JoJo’s Dance Pop Revolution. Talking about how the experience affected her, she revealed, “My body has changed a lot. My mind has changed more than my body, but I have dropped multiple sizes in clothes.” The singer credited partner Jenna with a lot of the changes. Claiming the pro “transformed” her body, JoJo explained, “I could not do one single push-up when we started, and now every day we do 15 solid nose to the ground, no cheating push-ups. I do it twice a day—once with her, once on my own.” But the transformation wasn’t just about getting in shape. JoJo explained that she grew stronger mentally as well as physically.

Though she exudes confidence, JoJo had insecurities she hadn’t told anyone about. And Jenna, who is returning for season 31, helped with those mental health struggles. JoJo explained, “She figured out that I’m not very confident in my body, in the way that I look, and she was not having it at all. Jenna was like, ‘We are not doing that here, never ever.’ She got me over it and she got me over the hump.” JoJo and Jenna have become so close that the TikTok star considers the dancer part of her family, adding, “I’m lucky to have her in my life forever.”

While Jenna was initially hesitant about being paired with another woman, it’s fair to say JoJo’s risk paid off. The partnership has been wildly successful, both on and off the dance floor. JoJo, who’s been called a LGBTQ+ icon, has surely opened a door for others to request the same in future seasons.

The Dancing With The Stars season 30 finale airs Monday night on ABC. JoJo will compete against some other history-making contestants like Iman Shumpert, DWTS‘ first NBA player to make the finals. While she is a favorite to get the coveted Mirrorball Trophy, it’s not a given. JoJo and Jenna shockingly landed in the bottom two one week, proving that perfect scores don’t guarantee enough votes. But even if JoJo doesn’t win, it’s clear she’ll take away some very important things from her time in the ballroom.

Dancing With The Stars airs Mondays at 8 p.m. EST on ABC.
