Dying Light 2’s open world is full of weapons, gear, and loot that will make players more lethal as they level up and Sunken Airdrops are a great way to get good gear fast. While players normally loot weapons and gear that is at their level or maybe one above it if they’re lucky, there is a way to get max level gear much earlier while progressing through the games way earlier. Players can do this by finding Sunken Airdrops, airdrops that are hidden in a secret region of the game and contain the best gear in Dying Light 2. By heading to this region on the map, players will be able to loot levels 7,8, and 9 gear no matter what level they are or if they’ve beaten the main story or not.

Once players have progressed far enough in the main story, they’ll enter Dying Light 2‘s second region; The City of Villeador. Here, players will find higher-leveled enemies, towering skyscrapers, but most of all, better loot. Players will most likely be around levels 3 or 4 when they enter the Center Loop region and they’ll have to travel through much higher leveled areas to get to the Sunken Airdrops. However, players will get some of the best weapons in Dying Light 2 if they make the journey.

While players can go to the region that the Sunken Airdrops are immediately after entering the city, getting such high-level gear this early in the game will make the combat for the remainder of the story quite easy. Well, more than easy, basically anything the players level 7+ weapon touches before the end of the main story will one hit their enemy. Players who do get max-level weapons can use them until they break and will have to return to the location of Sunken Airdrops to re-loot the area. There is no weapon repair in Dying Light 2  unless players complete the’ Korok’ weapon charm easter egg, which is only available after the ‘Broadcast” mission in the game’s main story.

Where to Find Sunken Airdrops With Max Level Gear in Dying Light 2

Dying Light 2’s Sunken Airdrops can be found right under the ‘Newfound Lost Lands’ region of the map. This area will be completely covered in water if the player has not completed the main story missions and may still be covered in water after depending on the choices the player makes during the duration of the story mode. Still, these Airdrops can be reached by swimming to them. Players should head straight for the safehouse on the top left of the region first in order to unlock a closer spawn point to the airdrops if they should die. They’ll find the first Airdrop right next to the safehouse and can continue to the other 11 airdrops from there.

Grabbing Sunken Airdrops in Dying Light 2 is the best thing to do after beating the game because it’ll get the player quickly geared up to face the level scaled enemies the game introduces after players complete its main story. The enemies in the world will continue to scale to the player’s level after beating the game, so it’s good to have these high damage weapons and high stat armor to combat them. however, if players are looking to become overpowered early in the game, then the location of Sunken Airdrops is where players need to go.
