The main storyline of Dying Light will pit players against all kinds of terrifying and difficult zombies. Players will be forced to stay on their toes and bring strong weapons with them at all times if they hope to beat some of these deadly enemies. The most difficult enemies in the game though show up once players boot up the DLC The Following.

In The Following players will be introduced to new enemies called Freaks of Nature. These enemies are unnaturally superpowered zombies that have a large amount of health and can kill players very quickly. They basically function like raid bosses, as players are encouraged to fight them with their friends. One of the most difficult ones that players will have to face is the massive armored Holler. This guide will help players bring Holler down.

Holler’s Abilities and Resistances Dying Light

Holler is an insanely large Freak of Nature and it is near impossible to face the creature on the ground. Players who get to close to Holler will take massive damage from him as he hits them. Being far away from him is a bad idea also as the zombie will just throw large rocks at the player. Staying inside the arena with Holler is a recipe for disaster.

Because of the creature’s size and armor, he is basically resistant to all forms of weapons. Any attack that players throw at Holler will ineffectively bounce off his armor. Grenades are the only thing that seems to do a little bit of damage, but it would take a lot of grenades to kill Holler. Those who decide to face the Freak of Nature with no strategy or plans will quickly find that this fight seems to be basically impossible.

Dying Light: Killing Holler

There is a trick to bringing this mountain of flesh and armor down. The first thing that players will want to do is climb on top of the nearby roof with a generator on top. There will be a Toad that will need to be killed first before focusing on Holler. Once that is handled players will now be in the best possible position to fight Holler from. He will not be able to attack players with his hands, and if he throws a rock there is a wall that players can duck behind to hide.

Players will then want to use some firecrackers to lure Holler to their side of the compound and within range of a shotgun. The player then just needs to start firing at his head indiscriminately. Odds are Holler won’t take very much damage from this, but the player should keep firing anyway. After a lot of ammo and patience, Holler’s armored helmet will finally come flying off. This means that the player can finally start causing some damage to the large brute.

From here the fight is easy. Just continue shooting at Holler’s head with any firearm possible. If the player runs out of ammo, they should keep in mind that grenades still do a bit of damage. Eventually, Holler will drop and the player will be rewarded with a Heavy Venom blueprint.

Dying Light can be played on PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4.
