The first Empire of Sin DLC expansion, Make ItCount, will be released on November 18 alongside the game’s free Precinct Update, which promises to improve and overhaul core gameplay. The new updates were announced previously by publisher Paradox Interactive, who guaranteed players that the new content would address the many issues they had with Empire of Sin at launch.

On November 18, Empire of Sin: Make It Count will add Maxim Zelnick as a boss, whose ability lets him call reinforcements in the middle of combat, and he wields the “Persuader” submachine gun. The Make It Count DLC expansion will additionally bring on the Fixer profession, allowing a character to bribe enemies during fights to make for nonviolent escapes. Make It Count will also add the Loan Shark racket, as well as new weapons, buildings, missions, and events.

While Make It Count is paid, Empire of Sin’s Precinct update will release for free. As its name suggests, it will introduce Precincts to the game, which are subdivisions of existing neighborhoods through which Supply Lines run. Precincts each contain a Depot, a heavily guarded area acting as the Precinct control point, and influence over it can be won in battle. The free Empire of Sin will also improve its police, with a Police Activity number showing cops’ relative presence in each area, and the figure can be manipulated by the player. There are also new victory conditions, such as Buy-Out, wherein the player literally buys a faction from its leader, and Chi-Town Mogul, which is achieved by controlling 40% of all rackets and fully upgrading them.

Empire of Sin: Make ItCount and the Precinct Update will release for available platforms on November 18, 2021.
