Entourage may be one of the longest-running shows of the last decade, but a lot of credit goes to the plethora of new storylines and the slew of celebrities who agreed to be a part of the show, even though most of their characters never got a well-rounded character arc. For instance, we don’t know if Jessica Alba is still mad at Ari Gold (Jeremy Piven), but it’s safe to assume she is. But because it ran so long, there have been quite a few plot inconsistencies in the show and some storylines got abandoned.

The show had some great cameos and numerous characters who enjoyed quite a bit of screen time but then vanished into thin air. There were also some issues and relationship dynamics we really hoped to see develop, but their narratives never really got resolved. Anyway, ranting aside, here are some of the most glaring inconsistencies from Entourage, featuring the storylines that clearly needed closure. Take a look:

10 Remember Sasha Grey?

Remember when Vince (Adrian Grenier) gets together with famous porn star Sasha Grey and takes her to a meeting with Stan Lee? Unlike most of the show’s cameos, this one felt a little different because the way Sasha was introduced gave fans hope that she would be a recurring character, especially considering her incredible screen presence.

But casting her as a bad influence on Vince was a cliched move. Plus, when they abruptly broke up at the finale of Season 7, it made for a really clumsy wrap-up on what could have been a really mature and plot-heavy storyline for the entire crew, especially Vince.

9 What Is The Point Of Seth Green?

Actor Seth Green hates the gang and the feeling is very mutual, yet he keeps popping in and out as a snarky, smart-mouth rival to the boys. Considering his history with Sloan (Emmanuelle Chriqui), naturally, Eric (Kevin Connolly) doesn’t like him. Plus, Seth trash-talks them any chance he gets. But as potent and visible as their rivalry is, it doesn’t really contribute to the script in any way.

Green’s character on the show is never promoted to an actual nemesis, which would have helped his storyline and challenged the gang. In season 5 episode 10, titled Seth Green Day, for instance, this entire rivalry could have had a really high-octane breakdown, but it never happened.

8 What Happens With Scarlett?

In the season 1 finale, Eric manages to get a date with Scarlett Johansson. In fact, Scarlett herself calls Eric to talk to Vince and the two decide to grab an early breakfast since they’ll both be in New York. Fans never get to find out how things pan out between the two — Scarlett’s arc is not exactly a storyline, though.

Yes, Vince has a crush on her and tries to persuade E to get her in touch with him and it eventually happens. But when the show returns with season 2 in 2005, Scarlett has already embarked upon the Woody Allen phase of her career and Hollywood has started taking her more seriously. It’d be fantastic to see how things go between Vince and another A-lister.

7 Vince’s Sobriety

Vince’s addiction issues never really get much of closure in the show, which is especially tragic because it could have made for a really strong anchor point for his narrative. He comes back in season 8 after a 90-day rehab stint and is shown to be getting back to a cleaner lifestyle, but his past issues with drugs never get a resolution.

The closest thing we get to a resolution was his sober party in episode 1 of season 8, but we never really saw Vince coming to terms with his sobriety, addressing his battle with addiction, or even talking about his mental health.

6 Anna Faris Was Here, Too

By now we know Entourage loves face-dropping celebrities, but when you’re bringing in actors who already have a standing, shouldn’t they at least get a well-rounded send-off? Take Anna Faris, for instance. She goes on to become Eric’s second client after they two meet during a fender bender and Eric even admits to having a crush on her.

She appears in three episodes, the final appearance being in episode 11 of season 4, when she fires Eric for lying to her about Billy Walsh’s script. There was no sense of closure in her storyline or in their professional dynamic, as she fires E quite suddenly and is never seen again.

5 The Harvey Drama

Entourage tried to warn us about Harvey Weinstein, but we never took the hint — Harvey Weingard’s character is obviously based on Weinstein — the portly, foul-mouthed, ill-tempered producer holds all the power in Hollywood and, of course, really hates the gang as they have tricked him more than once.

After the Medellin debacle, things get really bad and Harvey threatens to end all of their careers. Here’s the thing, when the most powerful man in Hollywood hates you, you can use it to anchor some really interesting plot points in the narrative and bring in some actual drama. But sadly, the rage-filled cameos were all that Harvey had to offer, which never really led to a more significant plotline.

4 Justice For Dom

Entourage fandom unanimously agrees that Dom’s storyline in the show was the sloppiest. He clearly deserved more screen time, especially considering his connection with Vince (Dom was part of Vince’s old crew from Queens — he spent five years in prison for drug possession, but was, in reality, holding Vince’s joint).

There’s an element of guilt which Vince experiences after Dom returns and this could have been explored. But after his appearance in season 3, he returns just once, in season 5, gets arrested, and his family leaves him. We never really see his narrative resolved and fans get no closure about his character arc.

3 Whatever Happened To Justice Chapin?

Gossip Girl star Leighton Meester was also a part of the show briefly — she played pop star Justice Chapin, who shared a fling with Vince in the first episode. She reveals she’s practicing abstinence and cannot embark on a sexual relationship with Vince. Post this, she doesn’t get a whole lot of screen time, until she pops back again in season 5 in the episode ‘Unlike a Virgin’. She invites Vince to Tony Bennett’s party but basically ends up pawning him off on a friend, which makes Vince even more insecure.

Justice doesn’t return for any other episode and her story arc is just abruptly dismantled. Fans have agreed that someone as interesting as Justice could really have switched things up for the show, especially considering her chemistry with Vince.

2 What Was That With Tori?

Malin Akerman’s Tori had one of the best subplots on the show — she is Sloane’s friend who goes on to have a threesome with her and Eric. E finds himself very interested in Tori and actually goes on to meet her to apologize for a minor behavioral discrepancy (if we can call it that). Tori is cool with it, but admits to being uncomfortable with the fact that Eric meets her behind Sloane’s back.

Nothing much comes out of this encounter and that’s a shame because Akerman was terrific as Tori and clearly a name big enough to be featured on a recurring basis. The dynamic between her and Eric had great potential and left fans wanting more since they didn’t see the purpose of bringing her into the narrative.

1 Mandy Moore Deserved Better

Vince falls so madly in love with his Aquaman co-star Mandy Moore that he is ready to give up his career. But after they break up, she is not even mentioned again till the last season. Moore’s character was very well-written and was one of the most convincing portrayals. Vince who is vocal about his feelings for Mandy gets too involved in the relationship, so much so that he even has a few professional missteps.

The fact that Mandy is not even mentioned in the next season, especially given that the Aquaman episode isn’t entirely over yet, seemed too messy and obviously forgetful since she is one of the very few people Vince wanted a serious relationship with.
