Euphoria: How Old Are The Actors In Real Life?
HBO’s Euphoria has been a very big success for the cable TV network, although it has been without its controversies. The general criticism has been that the characters don’t seem to act like teenagers, with the premise about Rue Bennett and her circle of high schoolers who deal with multiple mature issues.
Fans have become very interested in the actors’ real-life ages as a result of all the talk about their characters, and learning about them is going to be an eye-opener. All of the younger cast members have relatively significant age gaps with the people they’re playing and it’s interesting to learn just how big the difference is.
Sydney Sweeney: 24 Years Old
Euphoria is the best-received entry in Sydney Sweeney’s filmography thus far, with the character of Cassie being her most famous role yet. She’s received a lot of attention for the many provocative scenes her teenage character is seen in just about every episode, but Sweeney is actually much older than Cassie.
Cassie is supposed to be around 18-years-old in Euphoria, which leaves a six-year difference between her and Sydney Sweeney. The actress was born in 1997 and will turn 25 in 2022, with more seasons to follow that will likely see her character age up alongside her.
Jacob Elordi: 24 Years Old
Jacob Elordi has a relatively short list of credits right now, owing to his young career. Along with Euphoria, he’s known for The Kissing Booth series, even becoming a real-life acting couple with co-star Joey King before breaking up before the movies concluded.
Elordi is 24-years-old at present and will be turning 25 in 2022, while his character is meant to be 18-years-old. Elordi’s six-year gap with Nate Jacobs can explain why he’s so well-built while Nate should logically be going through puberty.
Austin Abrams: 25 Years Old
Austin Abrams looks much younger than his real age is, making him a favorite for fan castings in series like Harry Potter, among other franchises that Euphoria viewers would like to see him in. Abrams’s character, Ethan Lewis, is supposed to be around 17-18 years of age on the show.
In real-life, Abrams is 25-years-old and will be turning 26 in 2022, which makes it almost a decade’s worth of difference between him and his character. To his credit, he does look much younger and has played teenagers in other works like Dash & Lily and The Walking Dead.
Hunter Schafer: 23 Years Old
Hunter Schafer was born on the very last day in 1998, which makes her 23-years-old; she’ll be turning 24 at the end of 2022. Jules Vaughn is supposed to be around 17 years of age on Euphoria, which leaves about a six-year gap between Schafer and her character.
Euphoria marks the acting debut for the actress, who was a model prior to venturing into the profession, having appeared for brands like Tommy Hilfiger and Calvin Klein. Although she’s relatively older than her character is supposed to be, Schafer is actually the closest to the age compared to the rest of the cast.
Barbie Ferriera: 25 Years Old
Kat Hernandez is one of the younger main cast members, being around 16-years-old. However, Barbie Ferriera is pretty much the same age as the rest of the actors at the age of 25. Ferriera, who was born in 1996, will be turning 26 in 2022.
Hernandez is also a relative newcomer to show business, having only had a guest role on Divorce before she made it big with Euphoria. Kat has a six-year gap with her actress, which looks to be what pretty much every actor on the show has as well.
Dominic Fike: 26 Years Old
Elliot’s age hasn’t been detailed in Euphoria, but it’s clear that he’s supposed to be the same age as Rue and the others. If he’s around 17-18 at the time of the show’s events, it would leave out almost a decade’s difference between him and actor Dominic Fike.
Fike was born the day before 1995 came to a close, which makes him 26-years-old. Fike will be turning 27 by the end of 2022, making his real age quite significant since he’s a long way from being a teenager. His career is in its early stages, though, seeing as Euphoria is his first acting role.
Angus Cloud: 23 Years Old
Fezco is older than the majority of the characters and is around 19 years of age within the story. Angus Cloud, on the other, hand, is one of the younger cast members at 23-years-old. The actor will turn 24 in 2022, which leaves around a five-year age difference with his character.
Cloud is one of many actors on the show whose first job in the industry happens to be Euphoria, meaning he wasn’t active as a performer while he was a teenager in real-life. Fez’s quotes in Euphoria have been popular for showcasing his maturity, so maybe Cloud has always come across as older than he actually is.
Algee Smith: 27 Years Old
Algee Smith is the oldest in the actors portraying teenagers on Euphoria, with the actor born in 1994 and currently at 27 years of age. He will be turning 28 in 2022, while his character is meant to be 19 at the time of the show’s events, leaving almost a decade-long difference.
Unlike many of his co-stars, Smith is a very experienced actor, having started out back in 2012 with a stint on Army Wives when he was the age that Chirs McKay is at now. He hasn’t been a regular in the second season, owing to his character heading off to college.
Maude Apatow: 24 Years Old
Maude Apatow has always had a foot in the industry due to starring in her father Judd Apatow’s movies Knocked Up and This Is 40 in her younger years. Her character, Lexi Howard, is around the age of 17-18 in Euphoria while Apatow is 24-years-old in real-life.
The actress was born in 1997, which means she will be turning 25 years of age by the end of 2022. Lexi’s age gap of six-to-seven years with her actress conforms with the rest who also have similar differences with their roles compared to how old they really are.
Zendaya: 25 Years Old
Zendaya is the star of Euphoria, whose character, Rue Bennett, is the point of view protagonist around whom the story circles. Zendaya has famously been playing teenagers for over a decade, going to Shake It Up and K.C. Undercover when she was a teenager in real-life.
Zendaya is presently 25-years-old and will be turning 26 later in 2022, which places a gap of a little less than a decade with Rue. The actress has similarly played teenager MJ Watson in the Spider-Man concurrently to Euphoria, so fans are generally surprised to learn she’s been in her 20s for quite some time.
