Warning! SPOILERS for Euphoria season 2, episode 7.

Euphoria season 2, episode 7, titled “The Theater and Its Double,” is all about Lexi Howard (Maude Apatow) and her play – here’s every song in the HBO show’s latest entry. One of Euphoria‘s consistent strengths has been its soundtrack, with original music coming courtesy of artist Labrinth, whose operatic score has added to the sense of hyper-melodrama in the show. Music supervisor Jen Malone contributes to the rest of the soundtrack, finding the perfect songs to put over Euphoria‘s scenes of teen debauchery. While the latest episode of the show is light on debauchery, it does focus on Lexi’s play, cheekily titled Our Life.

Its depiction of high school stage productions is, in typical Euphoria fashion, both searingly accurate and completely fantastical. Some of the things that occur in the play would never fly in an actual high school production, and the sets themselves are way beyond any high school theater department’s actual budget. Yet, Lexi’s play still manages to capture the thrill of putting on a production at that age, and Euphoria‘s soundtrack only adds to this.

Euphoria season 2, episode 7 cuts between Lexi’s play and the real-life incidents it is depicting, blurring the lines between fiction and reality. While Labrinth accompanies some of the scenes, plenty of songs play in the episode from very well-known artists, including one show-stopping moment involving Nate Jacobs and a racy dance number. Here’s every song in Euphoria season 2, episode 7.

“Love Will Keep Us Together” – Captain & Tennille: The 1975 cover of this classic song plays during a montage introducing the play’s versions of Euphoria‘s cast of characters. It is during this moment that Maddy, Rue, and Cassie begin to realize that Lexi’s play is actually about them, something that doesn’t seem to sit right with many of them.

“The Word Hurricane” – Air: This song plays during a pivotal moment in the episode when Cassie and Nate make their public debut at East Highland High. After keeping their relationship a secret for so long, the pair can finally be open about it now that Maddy has found out that Cassie is with Nate. The moment in question shows Cassie dressed almost exactly like Maddy and Alexa Demie’s character can’t help but get in a dig, commenting, “Well she certainly looks the part.

“More” – Bobby Darin: “More” plays during a montage of Cassie and Lexi spending time with their dad who, like Zendaya’s Euphoria character Rue, has struggled with addictions of his own. The montage is bittersweet, as Cassie and Suze watch this depiction of sweeter times in their lives with tears in their eyes.

“Oops (Oh My)” – Tweet feat. Missy Elliott: This song accompanies a section of the play that looks at the friendship between Maddy and Cassie, something that has now been fractured (possibly beyond repair), due to Cassie’s affair with Nate. It’s clear that the real-life Maddy and Cassie are deeply affected by this sequence, but how that could play into future developments in their relationship remains unclear.

“Holding Out For A Hero” – Bonnie Tyler: The show-stopping final number in Lexi’s play sees Kat’s ex-boyfriend Ethan play Nate in a hilarious and extremely homoerotic dance number. Capping off Euphoria season 2, episode 7, the Nate moment is one that will be widely discussed and, for the character, it may set into motion the events of the finale.
