Rob Zombie’s belated Firefly Family sequel 3 From Hellfeatures multiple cameos from recognizable genre faces, and here’s the full rundown. It’s safe to say that after how The Devil’s Rejects ended, most fans never thought the Fireflies would return for a third movie. However, moviegoers would come to find out in 2019 that Otis, Baby, and Captain Spaulding were only mostly dead after being shot full of holes by police as they cruised along to the classic rock sounds of Lynyrd Skynyrd’s hit “Free Bird.”

While Captain Spaulding sadly ended up playing a reduced role in 3 From Hell, with Sid Haig passing away not long after the sequel’s release, Richard Brake did his best to fill the void as new Firefly Family member Foxy. Brake was a good choice, after having previously been the highlight of 31, which many believe to be Zombie’s worst film as a director. Sure, fans don’t instantly love Foxy like they did Spaulding, but they likely would come close if given another movie to further get to know him in.

In addition to the four main players in 3 From Hell, lots of other noticeable actors turned up in the cast, as is normal for noted genre devotee Zombie. This includes The Lords of Salem‘s Jeff Daniel Phillips and The Howling‘s Dee Wallace in larger supporting roles, as well as a good supply of bizarre and amusing cameos.

Every Actor Cameo In Rob Zombie’s 3 From Hell

The most entertaining cameo to be found in 3 From Hell comes from horror genre mainstay Clint Howard, who appears as a clown called Mr. Baggy Britches that’s unfortunate enough to arrive at Warden Virgil’s house after the Fireflies have taken over. Otis says he’ll let the clown live if he can make Otis laugh, but needless to say, the clown doesn’t survive. Elsewhere, prolific character actor Daniel Roebuck reprises his role from The Devil’s Rejects as local TV host Morris Green. Sean Whalen, best known to horror fans as Roach in The People Under the Stairs, plays Burt Willie, who gets lured in and killed by Baby. Steven Michael Quezada, Breaking Bad‘s Steven Gomez, also turns up as a knife-throwing character named Diego.

Noted 1970s Blaxploitation actor Austin Stoker, who also appeared in John Carpenter’s Assault on Precinct 13, plays a TV news anchor named Earl Gibson. Richard Riehle, one of the most prolific character actors in history with over 400 credits, cameos as a sheriff on the lookout for Foxy and Otis after he escapes from prison. Comedian Tom Papa, who voiced the titular character in Rob Zombie’s animated film The Haunted World of El Superbeasto cameos as a different TV newsman named George Glass, the name possibly being a reference to Jan’s imaginary boyfriend on The Brady Bunch.

Rounding the cameos out are three more notable names. First, there’s Danny “Machete” Trejo, reprising his role of Rondo from The Devil’s Rejects. He says he doesn’t know Otis, but Otis quickly reminds me of their prior interaction by killing him as he escapes from a prison chain gang with Foxy’s help. Then there’s Barry Bostwick, star of The Rocky Horror Picture Show and later Spin City, who provides the opening narration summarizing what happened previously to the Firefly Family. Finally, Chaz Bono, who played a memorable role on American Horror Story: Cult, cameos near the beginning of 3 From Hell as Digby Neville, a TV interviewee who trashes the Fireflies.
