American Horror Story season 10, Double Feature, already has a stellar cast for Part 1: Red Tide, with more AHS alumni actors confirmed to return for Part 2: Death Valley. The set-up for season 10 of American Horror Story is unconventional for how the anthology series has been released so far, with Double Feature being split into two separate stories: the sea-based premise in Red Tide for the first six episodes and the landlocked setting in Death Valley for the remainder of the season. While a few AHS actors will be featured in both parts of season 10 in separate roles, Death Valley will primarily include a new group of actors and characters.

SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY

Much of Double Feature has been kept under wraps, with only the half-sea, half-land premise being teased. As far as American Horror Story season 10 has revealed, Red Tide follows a Cape Cod town whose residents turn into vampires after taking a black pill, whereas Death Valley explores aliens, a theme presented in AHS: Asylum. Much of Death Valley’s premise is still unknown, though partially takes place in the 1950s in a desert, as hinted at by the black-and-white teaser trailer and appearance of President Dwight D. Eisenhower and Marilyn Monroe as characters.

Double Feature has received much attention from fans as it marks the return of icon American Horror Story actors Evan Peters and Sarah Paulson, both of whom appear in Red Tide. With almost all of Red Tide’s cast featuring returning AHS actors, the stakes are high for Death Valley. So far, the cast of Death Valley includes American Horror Story alumni, actors from 2021’s spinoff series American Horror Stories, and a few newbies to Ryan Murphy’s AHS scene. Here’s a breakdown of every AHS actor confirmed to star in Death Valley so far.

Sarah Paulson

With the beloved scream queen back on the screen, American Horror Story season 10 is even more exciting for including Sarah Paulson as a main character in both parts. Having appeared in all of AHS’s installments aside from 1984, Sarah Paulson’s return is substantial, especially with an executive producer credit for Double Feature. Most notable for portraying Lana Winters in Asylum, Cordelia in Coven, Hypodermic Sally in Hotel, Bette & Dot Tattler in Freak Show, among others, she’s playing an exciting character in AHS: Red Tide as the town’s unhinged resident Tuberculosis Karen. Following an intense performance in Red Tide, Paulson will (hopefully) be able to relax a bit more as she portrays the main role of First Lady Mamie Eisenhower in Death Valley.

Lily Rabe

Now on her ninth season of American Horror Story, Lily Rabe has been an enthralling aspect of each season that she plays a prominent role. Rabe’s most notable AHS roles include Nora Montgomery in Murder House, Sister Mary Eunice in Asylum and Freak Show, and witch Misty Day in Coven and Apocalypse. Lily Rabe is taking on a serious lead role for AHS season 10, where she’ll play significant characters in both parts of Double Feature. For Red Tide, Rabe is currently playing Doris Gardner, the pregnant wife of Harry (Finn Wittrock) and mother to Alma, who becomes sucked in by the ominous vampiric presence in their temporary winter town. A popular American Horror Story spoiler account, ahsdaily, that usually gets their predictions right, claims that Rabe will be portraying famed missing aviator Amelia Earhart in season 10’s Death Valley.

Cody Fern

Becoming an AHS breakout star after appearing as the haunting Michael Langdon in season 8, Apocalypse, Cody Fern has been one of the most anticipated newer actors in the AHS universe after also being prominently featured in AHS: 1984. Fern recently surprised audiences after jumping onto the cast of the American Horror Stories spinoff series for “Feral,” where he played a park ranger who harbors the woods’ terrifying secrets. Many were upset when it was announced Fern wouldn’t be involved in Red Tide with AHS actors like Evan Peters, Finn Wittrock, and Frances Conroy, but he’ll still have a chance to shine alongside Paulson and Rabe in Death Valley. It’s so far unknown what character Cody Fern will portray, but when considering his past roles, it can be expected to captivate audiences.

Leslie Grossman

Although Leslie Grossman only made her American Horror Story debut in season 7, she has quickly become a familiar face for the show’s subsequent installments. Grossman joined Cult opposite Billy Eichner as Meadow Wilton, the eccentric neighbor of Sarah Paulson’s paranoid character. She then returned in prominent roles for Apocalypse as wealthy Coco St. Pierre and the malicious serial killer Margaret Booth in 1984. Grossman is currently portraying Ursula on AHS season 10’s Red Tide, where her character comes to the sinister town after becoming suspicious about her client Harry’s sudden burst of inspiration in screenwriting. The character Leslie Grossman will play in Death Valley is so far under wraps, though it’s been rumored that she’ll portray a villain, likely dealing with Double Feature’s alien theme.

Angelica Ross

Angelica Ross is another AHS actress who will be featured in both parts of Double Feature. Ross is a recent recurring actress in American Horror Story’s universe, having only joined in season 9, 1984, as the serial-killer obsessed psychologist Donna Chambers. The Ryan Murphy collaborator will have a significant role in Double Feature’s Red Tide premise as she portrays The Chemist, Provincetown’s mysterious mastermind behind AHS‘s black pills that have a side effect of turning users into vampires. So far, the circumstances of Angelica Ross’s character in Death Valley are unclear, though she has teased that she will still be playing an in-depth role.

Kaia Gerber

The breakout actress of the spinoff series American Horror Stories, Kaia Gerber, who is the daughter of model Cindy Crawford, appears to be making a name for herself in the AHS universe. In her official debut acting role, Gerber first appeared in American Horror Stories’ “Rubber Woman” two-part premiere episode as Ruby, a sadistic resident ghost of AHS’s Murder House. She then unexpectedly reappeared in the oddly meta American Horror Stories season finale, “Game Over,” becoming one of the only actors to appear more than twice in prominent roles during the season. Gerber will appear in AHS season 10’s Death Valley in a main role, though her character is so far undisclosed. In the teaser for Part 2, Gerber appeared in color with other modern-looking teens, suggesting her role will take place in the present day while Paulson’s storyline occurs in the past.

Nico Greetham

Also a newcomer to the AHS scene in American Horror Stories, Nico Greetham is scheduled to appear in a prominent role opposite AHStories’ Kaia Gerber in Death Valley. Greetham previously portrayed a main character in American Horror Stories’ “The Naughty List” as the lead member of a group of problematic male influencers. Before AHS, Greetham was best-known for playing Calvin Maxwell in Power Rangers Ninja Steel and Nick in Ryan Murphy’s The Prom.

Death Valley’s Confirmed New Actors

One of the most anticipated additions to AHS season 10 was Home Alone’s Macaulay Culkin for Red Tide, but Death Valley will feature another incredibly acclaimed new AHS actor, Neal McDonough. Having been in prominence in Hollywood since the mid-1990s and featured in projects like Band of Brothers, Desperate Housewives, Minority Report, and the MCU, McDonough is a welcome addition to the American Horror Story family. McDonough will play an especially important character in Death Valley, portraying a lead role as President Dwight D. Eisenhower. Death Valley will also feature Halston’s Rebecca Dayan as a 1950s woman who may also be one of AHS season 10’s aliens. This Is Us’s Rachel Hilson (young Beth) will also join the American Horror Story‘s Death Valley cast as a friend to Gerber and Greetham’s modern-day characters.
