Warning: SPOILERS for The Flash season 7, episode 16, “P.O.W.” & episode 17, “Heart of the Matter, Part 1.”

The Flash season 7 is getting ready to celebrate the show’s 150th episode, which will feature the return of several familiar beloved faces. While Arrow is currently still the longest-running Arrowverse show, The Flash will be joining the ranks of hitting another huge milestone. Even though most TV shows don’t always make a big celebration whenever they hit their 150th installment, The Flash is. Due to the global pandemic, The Flash season 7 is ending a little sooner this year as it didn’t get its standard 22-episode order. With only 18 episodes this season, the Arrowverse series is staging a two-part finale with its remaining episodes.

While the final two episodes will be a double-sized season finale, The Flash season 7, episode 17, titled “Heart of the Matter, Part 1,” will mark the 150th hour of the show. Even though it was only two seasons ago when The Flash celebrated its 100th episode, the 150th one is looking to make an even bigger splash. As The Flash season 7 just kicked off its latest graphic novel arc with Godspeed, the show will be taking a moment to celebrate the past, present, and future. Like The Flash’s 100th episode, its next milestone event will see many beloved characters back from previous seasons.

Through official announcements and the latest trailer for The Flash, there will be plenty to look forward to in the 150th episode for longtime audiences. However, it would not be shocking if “Heart of the Matter, Part 1” ends up having some surprise appearances by unexpected Flash characters. So who is showing up for The Flash’s 150th episode, and how will they factor into The Flash‘s Godspeed story?

Nora West-Allen/XS

While XS erased herself from the timeline in The Flash season 5, Nora West-Allen is thankfully alive and well post-Crisis on Infinite Earths. Throughout the back half of The Flash season 7, Barry and Iris have been trying to start a family as they want to enter the next chapter of their life together. In recent episodes, Jessica Parker Kennedy’s character has been appearing to Barry in his dreams to assure him that everything will be fine. In “P.O.W.,” Nora resurfaced in another dream where she was warning Barry that something was wrong with their family as she began to fade away.

However, by the end of the episode, Nora is okay as she shows up properly to Barry to reassure him that everything will work out. Even though her “death” in The Flash season 5 was tragic, The Flash season 6 did foreshadow that Nora, in one way or another, was alive again in the future. One of the changes to Nora, post-Crisis, is how she only has one lightning color now rather than having both purple and yellow like in the original timeline. The Flash’s 150th episode will more than likely go deeper into what is different about Nora now.

Jay Garrick

While John Wesley Shipp’s Barry Allen from Earth-90 sacrificed himself during Crisis on Infinite Earths, that is not the only DC hero he plays in the Arrowverse. Following Shipp’s appearance in “A Flash of the Lightning,” Jay Garrick has been missing for over a season, especially after Earth-Prime got created. Even though Shipp will be reprising the Golden Age Flash in Stargirl season 2, Jay is first showing up for The Flash’s 150th episode, months before his guest spot on Stargirl. During the trailer for “Heart of the Matter, Part 1,” Jay is spotted taking on the Godspeed army.

It is very safe to say that this is the same Jay audiences have known, with the only exception being that Stargirl season 2 will retroactively establish that he is from Earth-2 post-Crisis. Despite Stargirl season 1 claiming Jay died with the rest of the original JSA, his showing up in The Flash confirms that he is definitely still alive in the present time on Earth-2. Because Jay is back for The Flash’s 150th episode, this may be the story where Team Flash discovers that the Multiverse still exists.

Joan Williams

It appears The Flash season 7 is not entirely done with Michelle Harrison after she played the Speed Force Nora in the first half of the season. While Harrison is not in the trailer, Eric Dean Seaton, who directed The Flash’s 150th episode, revealed on Instagram that Harrison is joining the celebration. However, she won’t be playing the Speed Force or the actual Nora Allen this time. In The Flash season 6, Nora’s Earth-3 doppelganger got introduced as Jay’s wife, Joan Williams. Like Jay, Joan has not been seen again after Crisis on Infinite Earths wiped out all the worlds in the Multiverse.

What Joan’s exact role is in The Flash’s 150th episode remains to be seen. It could be that Jay brings Joan with him from Earth-2 to Earth-Prime to assist in the Godspeed war. Given how the story has played out so far, it definitely seems The Flash is requesting all hands on deck for the two-part season finale. However, it would not be surprising if Harrison did pull double duty in the milestone episode as both Joan and at least one version of Nora.

Cisco Ramon

Despite exiting The Flash season 7 a few episodes ago, Carlos Valdes will be back for the final two installments as Cisco Ramon. Since the departure of Cisco and Kamilla, Team Flash has regularly referenced him, particularly in regard to his ARGUS activities. When Valdes revealed to Entertainment Weekly that he would be back for the remaining two episodes, he didn’t go into specifics about Cisco’s return. Nevertheless, it is still appreciated to see someone like Cisco,

It would make sense for Cisco to return to Central City to give Team Flash some new tech to help them stop Godspeed. Hopefully, The Flash’s 150th episode will include some Mecha-Vibe action for Cisco. Either way, it will be great to see Valdes, who has been part of The Flash since the beginning, be part of this celebratory episode, especially as it might be the last time audiences see him for a considerable while.

Bart West-Allen/Impulse

Even though there is not much to know yet about Nora’s future, “P.O.W.” did reveal one significant change to her timeline. While Iris and Barry got visited by only one future child in The Flash season 5, the family dynamic has changed post-Crisis as they now have two kids instead. Jordan Fisher was cast earlier this year as Bart West-Allen, a.k.a. Impulse, one of the major characters from the DC comics’ Flash Family that the show hadn’t introduced yet. While Bart is traditionally known as Barry and Iris’s future grandchild, the Arrowverse version is changing that and making him Nora’s younger brother.

While audiences got a taste of Fisher’s character in “P.O.W.,” The Flash’s 150th episode is when they will get to know him much better. Besides that he comes from the future with Nora to help their father stop Godspeed, not much has been revealed about Impulse. The CW’s official description did tease that “a shocking secret” will threaten the West-Allen’s “familial harmony,” but it is unclear what that is about, exactly. Whatever obstacle they face, Iris and Barry’s family will have to overcome it as the Godspeed war is getting more intense by the minute.

Even though The Flash’s 150th episode already has a huge lineup of exciting characters, it’s not a stretch to imagine that there may be a few surprises in store. It would, for example, be incredible if Keiynan Lonsdale’s Wally West were somehow involved. Imagine Kid Flash’s reaction at finding out that not only is his future niece alive, but he also has a speedster nephew. Another former cast member that would be great to see in The Flash’s big milestone episode is Violett Beane as Jesse Quick, especially as her fate has been unknown since the original Earth-2 got destroyed. Based on what is already known of The Flash’s 150th episode, this is one episode not to miss.
