Every Maker Machine In Story of Seasons & How to Craft It

Crafting in Story of Seasons: Pioneers of Olive Town can be done in different ways. Items like decorations and storage boxes can be built using the crafting tab in the Notebook. However, items like Ingots, Lumber, and Bricks are made in a slightly different way. In past Story of Seasons games, wood could be hit with an axe to make lumber, and only raw ore was needed for upgrades and buildings, instead of ingots. However, Pioneers of Olive Town requires players to build special Maker Machines in order to obtain these resources.

Maker Machines have been present in other Story of Seasons titles and are typically used to process milk, eggs, and furs into secondary products. In Story of Seasons for the Nintendo 3DS, these Makers could be found inside buildings specializing in products like cheese, seeds, clothing, and more. In Trio of Towns, Makers were turned into small devices placed in special spots on the farm’s map. However, Pioneers of Olive Town’s Maker Machines are similar to Stardew Valley’s instead of past Story of Seasons games, with each Maker processing a select number of resources into new items.

Crafting Maker Machines can be expensive, and they each have different requirements players must meet before the crafting recipe is unlocked. The primary requirement for most Maker Machine recipes is reaching certain levels in different skills. These include Farming, Mining, Animal Care, Logging, and many more. Each Pioneers of Olive Town skill has several Maker Machines tied to it, encouraging players to take their time building proficiencies, so they can have access to every type of Maker they will need for processing items on a daily basis.

Every Maker In Story Of Seasons: Pioneers Of Olive Town

There are 22 basic Maker Machines in Story of Seasons: Pioneers of Olive Town. Players can place up to 20 of each type of Maker Machine at a time. Currently, there are no sheds to keep Maker Machines in, which can leave a farm feeling a bit cluttered. This is especially frustrating for space management, as each maker takes up 4 placement squares of useable farm space. To minimize this issue, it can be handy to set up only a few of the less important Maker Machines, like the Brick Maker, at a time to help conserve space for livestock and crops. Below is a list of every available basic Maker Machine, the requirements to unlock them, and the crafting recipes.

• Lumber Maker – Unlocks at Level 2 of Logging. Crafting requires x20 Logs. Converts any type of log into Lumber. Costs x3 Logs to make 1 Lumber.
• Jewel Maker – Unlocks at Level 6 of Mining. Crafting requires x5 Iron Ingots, x10 Silver Ingots, and x1 Raw Opal. Insert any of the raw gems to get a polished gemstone. Costs x1 raw gem to get 1 gemstone.
• Jam Maker – Unlocks at Level 7 of Orcharding. Crafting requires x3 Supple Lumber, x3 Gold Ingots, and x10 Sap. Insert any fruit to obtain jam.
• Yarn Maker – Unlocks at Level 4 of Livestock Breeder. Crafting requires x3 Solid Lumber, x3 Iron Ingots, and x1 Glass. Intern any wool or fur to obtain yarn. Costs x1 fur to obtain 1 ball of yarn.
• Yogurt Maker – Unlocks at Level 3 of Livestock Breeder. Crafting requires x3 Solid Lumber and x3 Iron Ingots. Turns any type of milk into yogurt. Costs x1 milk to obtain at least 1 yogurt.
• Essence Maker – Unlocks at Level 5 of Communication. Crafting requires x3 Silver Ingots and x5 Glass. Process flowers, wildflowers, and fruits into essences. Costs x1 flower, wildflower, or fruit to make at least 3 essence bottles.
• Thread Maker – Unlocks at Level 3 of Reaping. Crafting requires x10 Rope and x10 Logs. Insert any type of grass to craft thread. Costs x3 grass to craft 1 spool of thread.
• Brick Maker – Unlocks at Level 3 of Draining. Crafting requires x5 Mortar and x5 Iron Ingots. Bakes clay into bricks. Costs x3 bags of clay to make 1 brick.
• Sapling Maker  – Unlocks at Level 6 of Orcharding. Crafting requires x5 Supple Lumber, x5 Gold Ingots, and x10 Clay. Creates tree saplings from different fruits.
• Cloth Maker  – Unlocks at Level 5 of Livestock Breeder. Crafting requires x3 Solid Lumber, x2 Silver Ingots, and x1 Glass. Converts balls of yarn into bolts of cloth. Take x2 balls of yarn to craft 1 bolt of cloth.
• Mayonnaise Maker – Unlocks at Level 2 of Livestock Breeder. Crafting requires x3 Lumber and x3 Iron Ingots. Transforms eggs into Mayonnaise. Costs x1 egg to craft at least 1 mayonnaise.
• Dye Maker – Unlocks at Level 5 of Harvester. Crafting requires x3 Iron Ingots and x3 Silver Ingots. Presses flowers for dyes. Costs x1 flower to make 2 buckets of dye.

• Textile Maker – Unlocks at Level 4 of Reaping. Crafting requires x3 Thread and x5 Iron Ingots. Converts spools of thread into bolts of cloth. Costs x3 spools of thread to make x1 bolt of cloth.
• Seed Maker – Unlocks at Level 6 of Harvester. Crafting requires x5 Supple Lumber, x5 Gold Ingots, and x10 Wood Charcoal. Separates seeds from different veggie crops and flowers. Costs x1 flower or crop to create 2 seed packets.
• Spore Maker – Unlocks at Level 6 of Cultivator. Converts mushrooms into spores for mushroom logs. Costs x1 mushroom to make 1 bag of spores.
• Cheese Maker – Unlocks at Level 5 of Livestock Breeder. Crafting requires x3 Lumber and x2 Silver Ingots. Turns any kind of milk into blocks of cheese. Costs x1 milk to create at least 1 cheese block.
• Seasoning Maker – Unlocks at Level 3 of Cooking. Crafting requires x5 Solid Lumber and x2 Iron Ingots. Converts rock salt, peppercorn, and sugarcane into seasonings. Costs x1 item to make 1 seasoning type.
• Ingot Maker – Unlocks at Level 2 of Mining. Crafting requires x10 Iron Ore and x10 Logs. Smelts raw ore into ingots. Costs x5 ore to obtain 1 ingot.
• Powder Maker – Unlocks at Level 4 of Harvester. Crafting requires x3 Silver Ingots. Grinds coffee beans, cacao, chili peppers, wheat, and herbs into powders.
• Honey Maker – unlocks at Level 3 of Beekeeping. Crafting requires x5 Supple Lumber, x3 Moondrop Flower, x3 Pink Cat Flower, x3 magic Blue Flower, and x3 Magic Red Flower. Spins combs for jelly and honey. Costs x1 comb to make 1 jar of jelly or honey.
• Butter Maker – Unlocks at Level 4 of Livestock Breeder. Crafting requires x3 Lumber and x2 Silver Ingots. Churns any type of milk into butter. Costs x1 milk to craft at least 1 stick of butter.
• Condiment Maker – Unlocks at Level 4 of Cooking. Crafting requires x3 Silver Ingots. Presses rice, beans, and olives into condiments. Costs x1 items to make x3 condiments.
