In December 2021, Disney+ is bringing a new Star Wars TV series, a new musical animated movie, more content from the National Geographic branch, a couple of movies from Fox to get the Christmas spirit going, and new episodes of its latest Marvel TV show. With the entertainment industry almost fully back to normal as movie productions continue and theaters all over the world are open and working again, streaming platforms haven’t slowed down, and they continue to add new content every month. In Disney+’s case, it keeps bringing new licensed and original content from its different branches every month, and it also keeps housing movies that either skip a theatrical release, get a simultaneous one, or the Mouse House is simply reducing the window between theatrical and streaming release.

SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY

November saw the celebration of Disney+ Day with trailers and teasers of its upcoming projects as well as the release of Home Sweet Home Alone, Jungle Cruise (now free to stream for everyone), Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings, and the short film Ciao Alberto, along with the TV series Hawkeye and the docuseries The Beatles: Get Back. In addition to that, the platform welcomed movies like Alvin and the Chipmunks: Chipwrecked, Jingle All the Way and Jingle All the Way 2, X-Men: First Class, and Space Buddies, just to add more variety to the mix. December will see a lot more licensed content from different Disney properties, most notably Edward Scissorhands, Ice Age and Ice Age: Continental Drift, Tron: Legacy, Home Alone 4, and Home Alone: The Holiday Heist.

When it comes to original content, Disney+ will welcome a new movie from the Diary of a Wimpy Kid movie series, Disney’s newest animated musical (following a somewhat short theatrical release), the first episode of Boba Fett’s very own TV series, and more episodes of Marvel’s Hawkeye. Here’s everything new to Disney+ in December 2021.
