New Perks can be unlocked and will provide players with extra bonuses in Warzone Pacific Caldera. For the first time since the game’s initial release back in 2020, Call of Duty Warzone has changed the map location completely. Instead of giving players new map locations to explore, the entire map has been switched, featuring hundreds of new items, weapons, and techniques to discover. One of the bigger changes is new Perks, as they can directly affect how a player performs in battle. These are additional abilities that the player can equip when creating their own custom class.

Similar to the other Perks in Warzone, the player will need to unlock them before they can use them. Since this is a new season, every player has their rank reset back to one and they will need to work towards unlocking new levels to their Battle Pass. There are tons of different ways to level up fast in Call of Duty: Warzone, but it is possible to unlock all the new Pacific Caldera Perks by naturally playing the battle royale. Fortunately, once they are unlocked, players won’t need to do anything else to use the Perk.

The two new perks are Serpentine and Intuition. These are currently the only new Perks in this season, but it is likely that more will be added down the line. With Serpentine, players will receive reduced damage while sprinting, which can be helpful when trying to escape a firefight, but also works with explosives and ballistic items. Intuition permits players to have their vision pulse when an enemy is nearby, and even works while the enemy is behind a solid wall. Intuition can be helpful when inside tight corridors, or when trying to level from a cramped building. Both will need to be unlocked separately.

Unlocking New Perks in Warzone Pacific Caldera

  • Unlocking Serpentine: Players must reach tier 21 of the Season 1 Battle Pass.
  • Unlocking Intuition: Players must reach tier 44 of the Season 1 Battle Pass.

While Serpentine can be unlocked within a few hours of playing Warzone, Intuition will take a bit longer to achieve. Alternatively, if players are short on time, they can spend their real money and purchase Battle Pass tiers. Alternatively, there are Token items that can be used to increase how much XP the player earns within a set amount of time.

The best thing to do would be to jump into Warzone with friends. Playing with friends not only gives players more XP, but the overall experience is vastly improved. Communication will increase and playing with a squad can help players secure that victory royale. It’s also nice to have a backup during those more stressful situations. Regardless, these Perks can be helpful in making that possible.

Warzone Pacific Caldera is available now on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X, Xbox One, and PC.
