As expected, the first Nintendo Direct of 2022 is packed with new game footage, trailers, announcements and reveals. The industry giant’s pre-recorded presentations are always highly anticipated, and the February 2022 direct delivered exactly what was promised – just about 40 minutes of information on upcoming Nintendo Switch games, most of which are slated to launch in the first half of the year.

One of the biggest Nintendo games releasing in 2022 has already launched – Pokémon Legends: Arceus – but there are still plenty of marquee titles expected in the coming months, including Kirby and the Forgotten LandSplatoon 3Bayonetta 3, and the sequel to The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. Nintendo’s last direct came in September 2022, revealing the Nintendo 64 and Sega Genesis collections that arrived on Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack, Monster Hunter Rise‘s first expansion, Sunbreak, the aforementioned upcoming Kirby title, and much more.
