Sean Stewart is a new addition to season two of The Hills: New Beginnings. Sean joined the cast of the show because of his relationship with Audrina Patridge, which began in 2020. Most of the original cast from last season returned to the series for season two, except for Stephanie Pratt and Micha Barton. Some of the recurring cast, however, have been promoted to the main cast, such as Kaitlyn Carter. Sean isn’t the only famous face to be featured on the show. Kristen Cavallari will also make a guest appearance, leading many to believe she and Brody Jenner have a fling.

During season two of the MTV series, viewers will see Sean and Audrina in the beginning stages of their relationship. The pair never made their relationship official on the show, as it was more of a fling rather than a real romance. During Wednesday night’s new episode, Audrina realized there was no chemistry between them and decided to break it off. It seems Audrina might be more interested in Brody anyway.

While Sean isn’t an official cast member, he has made a few appearances on the series. The 40-year-old grew up in Los Angeles around a plethora of celebrity faces. However, this news isn’t so shocking, as he is the oldest son of famous musician Rod Stewart and his ex-wife, Alana Stewart. The parents also share former socialite Kimberly Stewart, who is Sean’s older sister. Rob has fathered six other children, while Sean’s mother had another son, Ashley Hamilton, with actor George Hamilton. Besides The Hills, Sean has appeared on other reality shows, including one about his famous blended family. According to Us Weekly, he starred in his first series, Sons of Hollywood, in 2007 before appearing on VH1’s Celebrity Rehab the following year. In 2015, he was part of the main cast of E!’s Stewarts & Hamiltons, which focused on him, his mother, his sister Kimberly, and his brother Ashley.

Even though Sean grew up with anything he ever wanted, he still has his struggles. In 2001, Sean, who was 22 at the time, was accused of assaulting a 19-year-old outside of a restaurant in Malibu after a witness called 911 (via Heavy). He pleaded no contest in the case the following year. Sean was later sentenced to 90 days in prison, was ordered to attend anger management classes, and went to rehab for drug use. In addition, he paid $5,600 in restitution to the victim. In 2019, Sean and his famous father were faced with a charge of simple battery after they got physical with a security guard on New Year’s Eve in Palm Beach. Rod issued a public apology via People, but Sean did not. In the past, Sean has also struggled with alcohol and drug abuse. During an episode of Brandi Glanville’s Unfiltered podcast, he admitted he has “done enough drugs to kill Hollywood.” Now, Sean ready to focus on life without drugs and alcohol.

Sean’s relationship with Audrina may be up in the air, but his spot on The Hills: New Beginnings may last longer than anyone thought. Not only does he come from Hollywood royalty, but Sean has a history on reality TV. Who knows? Maybe next season Sean will bring on his famous father for an appearance or two.
