Everything to Know About The Hype Life – TikTok’s Hype House Reality TV Show

What’s all the hype surrounding Hype House? News is, it’s going beyond its audience of teenagers and TikTok. A literal mansion that roofs 20 odd teenage content creators, Hype House is popular enough to get its own reality show. And with Trump announcing a ban on the video-sharing app, Hype House could do with a new lease of life – The Hype Life. These TikTokers with their 150 million + shared followers are making their move to reality TV and here’s everything that’s there to know about The Hype Life!

Hype House formed in December 2019 when TikTok star Chase Hudson and YouTube personality Thomas Petrou thought of having a group of famous GenZ influencers in one place, a rented mansion in Los Angeles. The formula worked with a simple strategy – growing followers by growing collaborations. Within the first month itself, the Hype House Instagram account gained one million followers and the TikTok account grew by seven million. The Hype House members don’t necessarily live in the house but do use it as space to create. There are no leaders and no one gets a cut of the money the members make. Strict rules also adhere to the house like not partying, replacing an item in 15 days if it’s broken, and most importantly, churning out new content daily. But every house has it’s set of controversies, and Hype House has plenty! It’s perhaps this very reason why Wheelhouse Entertainment struck a deal with the collective to develop and produce a reality show named The Hype Life.

The Hype Life will offer viewers a fly-on-the-wall perspective into the glamorous, stressful, and high-speed personal and professional antics of the young stars from Hype House reports Deadline. It will exclusively document the lives of the TikTokers that the Spanish-style mansion current houses, including founders Chase, Thomas, and members Avani Gregg and Nikita Dragun as they create content. Fans of The Hype Life will be treated to their backstories along with watching the young creators collaborate with brands, initiate new members, and host brainstorming sessions. The other members on the list and soon-to-be reality TV stars are  Kouvr Annon, Nick Austin, Mia Hayward, Angel Herrera, Ondreaz Lopez, Tony Lopez, Madi Monroe, Ryland Storms, Alex Warren, Jack Wright, James Wright, and Nate Wyatt.

This announcement for The Hype Life comes shortly after the most popular ex Hype House member and former partner of Chase Hudon, Charli D’Amelio signed a production deal with Industrial Media that produces shows like American Idol and 90 Day Fiancé.  The 15-year-old from Connecticut is the reigning queen of TikTok who apparently introduced dance to the video creation app, thus changing it completely. Charli, who boasts of more than 15 million TikTok followers, had broken up with Chase over cheating rumors, which led to him even getting death threats! Then there’s another former member Daisy Keech who slammed the founders for not giving her credit as a co-founder in spite of her investing more than $10,000 in the Hype House. Lawsuits followed and Daisy started her own rival commune The Clubhouse which is working with ICM for its own show.

So as far as the most important ingredient of reality TV AKA drama is concerned, rest assured, The Hype Life will have tonnes. Add to that the fact that President Trump signing an executive order effectively banning the use of TikTok in the US might actually push some of these creators into a slump. Given this scenario, how the Hype House members transition their content to different platforms, especially Instagram’s Reels and YouTube, might become the plot of The Hype Life. Until then, it’s best that fans wait for TikTok to be bought over by Microsoft while keeping an eye out for The Hype Life’s release date.
