The city of Arlington, Texas has already begun to prepare for the arrival of WWE’s biggest annual event, with WrestleMania 38 set to air live from AT&T Stadium on April 2 and 3. Impressively, this will be the 38th consecutive year that WWE holds its WrestleMania event, the brainchild of Vince McMahon that dates back to 1985. For nearly four decades the entertainment spectacle has continued to evolve, and in 2020 expanded to a two-night event to compensate for general demand, as well as the company’s ever-growing roster of talent. The event has grown so large that for many years it has attracted wrestling promotions from all around the world, gathering for a week-long festival to capitalize on the tens of thousands of fans who swarm WrestleMania’s host city every year.

While the final WrestleMania 38 match card is still coming together, the top world championship matches for both Monday Night Raw and Friday Night Smackdown have been announced. A pair of UFC icons will share the marquee as Ronda Rousey challenges Charlotte Flair on night one, and Brock Lesnar puts his WWE Championship on the line against Universal Champion Roman Reigns in a Winner Take All main event on night two. Multiple celebrities have also been announced for the show, with YouTube influencer Logan Paul and Jackass star Johnny Knoxville both scheduled to compete in wrestling matches. The show will also see the return of one of wrestling’s greatest icons, “Stone Cold” Steve Austin.

There are currently 14 matches officially announced for WrestleMania 38, split evenly between both nights. Most recently, WWE confirmed that Seth “Freakin” Rollins will be in action against an unnamed opponent, announced by Vince McMahon himself the night of WrestleMania Saturday. Bobby Lashley, who made an early return from injury on the March 28 edition of Monday Night Raw, will also be in action, tackling the gigantic Omos in singles competition. This article will be updated in the final days leading up to WrestleMania 38, so any changes will be reflected below.

How To Watch WrestleMania 38 Online

Because of WWE’s deal with NBCUniversal, WrestleMania 38 will stream live exclusively on Peacock in the United States on April 2 and 3. For everyone else outside of the U.S., the event will stream on the WWE Network. Both nights of action will begin at 8:00 PM ET following a one-hour Kickoff Show that, in addition to airing on the platforms above, will be available free on YouTube, WWE.com, and most social media platforms as a lead-in to the big event.

How To Buy WrestleMania 38 Tickets

WrestleMania is widely considered to be the “Super Bowl of Wrestling” and as such, ticket prices are at a premium. At publishing time, the remaining floor seats available at AT&T Stadium range from $473 further back to $2,957 for seats in the first five rows. There are still plenty of available seats for both nights scattered around the entire arena for as little as $30 each in the 400-section “nosebleeds”, and it’s likely more will be added as the event gets closer and WWE locks down its final seating chart. There are also a very limited amount of two-day combo tickets available in the 100-level and 200-level. All tickets can be purchased through WWE’s official partner SeatGeak.

WrestleMania 38 Celebrity Appearances

Over the course of its nearly four-decade history, WrestleMania has transformed into one of the biggest live entertainment events anywhere on the planet. As such, the spectacle has understandably drawn the attention of celebrities of all kinds, from performing musicians to athletes, actors, and beyond—some of which have actually stepped between the ropes to perform, on occasion. This tradition dates back to the very first WrestleMania in 1985, which featured Hulk Hogan teaming with The A-Team star Mr. T, with the likes of Muhammad Ali, Liberace, The Rockettes, and New York Yankees manager Billy Martin all performing various duties at ringside.

This year will be no different, as WWE has already confirmed multiple celebrity appearances for WrestleMania 38 in Arlington, Texas. After making an appearance at WrestleMania 37, controversial YouTuber and influencer Logan Paul will actually be in tag team action, partnering with The Miz to take on the father-son duo of Dominik and lucha libre legend Rey Mysterio. That match will go down during night one of WrestleMania 38, while on night two, Jackass star Johnny Knoxville will wrestle Sami Zayn one-on-one, following his performance in the 2022 WWE Royal Rumble match.

While his status as a celebrity is potentially arguable, two-time Pro Bowl star and former NFL kicker Pat McAfee will also be in action against Vince McMahon’s right-hand-man Austin Theory. McAfee has been working with WWE extensively since 2018, shocking the world with a great in-ring performance against Adam Cole at NXT TakeOver XXX. He is currently the color commentator on Friday Night Smackdown on FOX alongside Michael Cole. It is likely WWE will announce further celebrity involvement as the date gets closer, including potential musical performances and the guest singer for “America The Beautiful”, which traditionally opens the show.

Stone Cold Steve Austin Returns at WrestleMania 38

WWE Hall of Famer “Stone Cold” Steve Austin will make his return to the wrestling ring at WrestleMania 38, although at this point it appears that he will not actually be competing in a match. At one point there were reports that the “Texas Rattlesnake” was in talks to come out of retirement—given his affiliation with the great state of Texas—for what would have been his first wrestling match since 2003. Currently, Austin is only announced for a talk show segment with Kevin Owens and not an actual match, although it would be utterly shocking if “Stone Cold” arrived at WrestleMania 38 and didn’t crack open at least one can of whoop-ass.
