Now streaming on Paramount+, The Fairly OddParents: Fairly Odder brings back Nickelodeon’s original animated fairies Cosmo and Wanda, alongside a cast of brand new live-action characters. Showrunner and executive producer Christopher J. Nolan has a history with the network, having previously worked on Nick’s Henry Danger and its spinoff Danger Force. The original Fairly OddParents creator Butch Hartman and executive producer Fred Seibert are both back as producers for the reboot as well.

The Fairly OddParents: Fairly Odder follows socially awkward teenager Viv Turner and her ultra-popular new step-brother Roy. The two are forced together suddenly when Viv’s dad “reconnects with his high school sweetheart, marries her on a whim, quits his job, sells their house in Oldsburg, and moves to Dimmsdale” all within the span of a week. Viv and Roy are given fairy godparents in order to cope with their new circumstances and, much like the original animated series, most episodes are based on the two trying to get out of the chaos caused by their own wishes.

While Timmy Turner only gets the live-action treatment for long enough to turn over his fairies to the next generation, The Fairly OddParents: Fairly Odder reboot introduces a whole cast of wacky and bizarre characters in an attempt to capture the frenzied pace and nonsense of its predecessor. That doesn’t mean fans of the OG series are left out in the dark, however, as the reboot finds a way to bring back important characters like Vicky the evil babysitter, and reinvent them in new, interesting ways.

Audrey Grace Marshall as Viv Turner

Audrey Grace Marshall plays Viv Turner, a bookish and socially quiet girl who hates attention and loves Shakespeare and British costume dramas set in the 1800s. She is definitely the more level-headed and rational wish-maker when compared to step-brother Roy, although her occasional desire for popularity and to fit in with her peers can get out of hand when mixed with access to unrestrained magic. Marshall also plays the teenage version of Kaley Cuoco’s character Cassie Bowden in the HBO Max series The Flight Attendant.

Tyler Wladis as Roy

Roy is already established as the most popular student at Dimmsdale Jr. High at the start of The Fairly OddParents: Fairly Odder, somewhat inexplicably. He’s a star athlete, almost always talks in catchphrases, and even has a crew of boys that follow him around chanting his name. Roy is genuinely good-hearted and ecstatic to finally have a sister, but when it comes to making wishes he can be a bit hasty, causing things to quickly spiral out of control. He’s played by Tyler Wladis, who is best known for his role as Graham D’Amato on the ABC series Single Parents.

Daran Norris & Susanne Blakeslee as Cosmo & Wanda

Daran Norris and Susanne Blakeslee reprise their roles as Cosmo and Wanda from the original Fairly OddParents. When Timmy Turner goes to college, he makes a deal with Jorgen Von Strangle to gift his beloved fairies to his cousin Viv. Unlike most of Fairly Odder‘s new live-action characters, Cosmo and Wanda retain their original animation for the reboot.

Both Norris and Blakeslee are prolific voice actors with plenty of experience in live-action as well. Norris also plays Jack Smith in American Dad and has had roles in iZombieVeronica Mars, Samurai Jack, Transformers Prime, Big Time Rush, Codename: Kids Next Door, and more. Blakeslee also voices Timmy’s mom in the original series, and has done voice work for major video game franchises including Diablo, Kingdom Hearts, God of War, and Bioshock.

Fairly OddParents: Fairly Odder Supporting Cast & Characters

Ryan-James Hatanaka as Ty Turner – Hatanaka plays Viv’s father and Roy’s new step-father Ty. The two are obsessed with dancing, and operate the Fancy Pants Dance Studio in Dimmsdale. Hatanaka previously played Detective Abe Tamura in the CW series Nancy Drew, and Gabriel Kinslow in When Hope Calls.

Laura Bell Bundy as Rachel Raskin – Roy’s mother and Viv’s new step-mother. She always seems to be on the edge of having a full mental breakdown. Laura Bell Bundy has been acting since 1993, known for playing Sweetheart in Dreamgirls, Dr. Jordan Denby in Anger Management, and Becky “Boats Boats Boats” in How I Met Your Mother.

Imogen Cohen as Zina – Zina is Viv’s self-proclaimed best friend and, following in the footsteps of The Fairly OddParents Tootie, is unhealthily obsessed with Roy. This is Cohen’s first significant role as an actress.

Lesli Margherita as Judy Stoneface – Margherita plays Dimmsdale’s rigid, zero-nonsense newscaster. She also played Iris Balducci in The Many Saints of Newark.

Liam Kyle as Nate Buxaplenty – The rich kid at school who buys his way into friendships and even school elections. Likely the son of The Fairly OddParents character Remy Buxaplenty, who also had a fairy godparent named Juandissimo Magnifico.

Mary Kate Wiles as Vicky – In a unique twist, Vicky eventually retires from babysitting Timmy Turner and takes a job at Dimmsdale Jr. High as a teacher. On her first day, she stumbles upon Crocker’s hidden lair and takes over his role as Fairly Odder‘s crazy conspiracy theorist. Vicky holds a personal grudge against Viv for being Timmy’s cousin. Wiles previously starred in The Lizzie Bennet Diaries.

Carlos Alazraqui as Crocker – Originally Timmy Turner’s fairy-obsessed teacher in The Fairly OddParents, Crocker is only referenced for most of the reboot as he is confined in a mental institution. In the two-part season finale, Crocker escapes and makes his debut in live-action, played by none other than his original voice actor Carlos Alazraqui. Alazraquie is a Nickelodeon legend, lending his voice to numerous shows including Rocko‘s Modern Life, CatDog, Hey Arnold!, Rocket Power, El Tigre, and SpongeBob SquarePants.

Garrett Clayton as Dustin Lumberlake – Lumberlake is a global pop music sensation (and an obvious take on Justin Timberlake) that turns up occasionally in The Fairly OddParents: Fairly Odder, and is featured in multiple musical numbers. Many of his songs are referenced or listened to by Roy and Viv throughout the season.
