Digital cards offer a new look at Baron Zemo’s costume in The Falcon and the Winter Soldier. The highly anticipated Disney+ series is set to premiere on March 19, shortly after WandaVision ends its current run. The Falcon and the Winter Soldier stars Anthony Mackie as Sam Wilson/The Falcon and Sebastian Stan as Bucky Barnes/Winter Soldier. Daniel Brühl returns to reprise his Captain America: Civil War role as the villainous Zemo.

Zemo was the hidden puppet master of the MCU’s Civil War story, throwing the Avengers into disarray and infighting after framing Bucky for the murder of T’Chaka. It was later revealed Zemo was a soldier in the Sokovian special forces. His actions against the Avengers were meant as payback for his family’s death in the Ultron attack. In the comics, Zemo is a more traditional villain and a frequent nemesis to Captain America, with the title of Baron passing through various characters from one generation to the next.

Brühl’s Zemo has been confirmed to return in The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, and he is briefly seen in the official trailer. Other footage has given a glimpse at his proper costumed appearance, but there hasn’t been a great look at Zemo’s new outfit until now. A new series of collectible cards released by Topps Digital reveal full costumes for several major characters in the series, including Baron Zemo. The new look is much truer to the comics than what was seen in Captain America: Civil War, with Zemo donning his signature purple mask, matching gloves, and an imposing fur-lined trench coat. See the costume below, next to newcomer character U.S. Agent.

For comic book readers, Zemo’s more classic look should be a welcome change. Brühl was stellar in the role in Captain America: Civil War, but the nature of the story didn’t let him step out as a full villain. The role of Zemo in The Falcon and the Winter Soldier hasn’t been fully revealed yet, but it seems safe to assume he’ll be one of the eponymous heroes’ primary antagonists.

At just six episodes, The Falcon and the Winter Soldier will likely have a pretty tight and focused story arc. The trailer and other promo materials have centered on Captain America’s legacy, and much of the series will deal with both Bucky and Sam grappling with how to uphold the name and symbol of Steve Rogers. With Zemo back to get in their way, there’s sure to be some intense action when The Falcon and the Winter Soldier comes to Disney+ on March 19.
