The Falcon and the Winter Soldier star Elijah Richardson hints Eli Bradley’s story might not be over in the MCU. Only two projects in, and the MCU’s Phase 4 has already set up numerous future projects and characters. While WandaVision laid the groundwork for Doctor Strange and the Multiverse of Madness, The Falcon and the Winter Soldier has paved the way for a new generation of heroes and the newest Captain America movie. All the while, the Disney+ shows have deepened some of the characters who have so far stuck to the sidelines of the franchise.

One of The Falcon and the Winter Soldier‘s most poignant storylines involved Isaiah Bradley (Carl Lumbly), a Korean war vet who was forcibly given the super solider serum by the United States government. Isaiah and Sam Wilson (Anthony Mackie) struck up a special bond during the show’s run, but Isaiah’s grandson inspired just as much as interest among fans. Comic book readers recognize Eli Bradley as Young Avengers member Patriot. His inclusion in The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, small as it was, certainly seems to hint at his eventual transformation into a superhero.

Richardson’s latest social media post indicates the same. After The Falcon and the Winter Soldier‘s finale dropped on Friday, Richardson shared some shots of him and Lumbly from the episode on social media. He also hyped up the possibility of more Eli in the MCU’s future, writing, “This may only be the beginning of Eli Bradley !” Check out his full post down below.

Though it hasn’t been officially announced, all signs point to Marvel setting up some kind of Young Avengers project. Several members of the team are set to make their debuts in future projects, including Kate Bishop (Hailee Steinfeld) and America Chavez (Xochitl Gomez). That’s not even mentioning those who have already appeared, some albeit in younger form: Billy Kaplan (Julian Hillard), Tommy Shepherd (Jett Klyne), and Cassie Lang (soon to be Kathryn Newton in Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania)With all this in mind, it isn’t absurd to believe there could be more story ahead for Eli. After all, the Young Avengers will need their Patriot.

Exactly where Eli could pop up next remains to be seen, though the newly-announced Captain America 4 feels like a viable option. That could further set up his transformation into Patriot, then lead into a Young Avengers series/film. Since The Falcon and the Winter Soldier just came to an end a few days ago, everything is speculation for the time being. Hopefully, though, Eli will get his chance in the spotlight sometime soon.
