A Silent Hill-inspired mod for Fallout 4 has received a new update, adding in content influenced by the Silent Hills playable teaser, P.T. Silent Hills was set to revive the classic survival horror series, this time helmed by famed developer Hideo Kojima, before it was canceled in 2015, around the time the demo was pulled from the PlayStation Store.

Despite the cancellation of Silent Hills, the P.T demo has lived on in infamy due to its complex design, memorable scares, and intricate story. P.T has inspired countless other horror games since its release, and Easter eggs referencing the game have been spotted in everything from Returnal to Watch Dogs: Legion. Just as inspirational is the Silent Hill series itself, which has been scaring fans with psychological and gruesome horror since 1999. The success of the franchise has also spawned fanmade works, including the Whispering HillsSilent Hill-inspired mod for Fallout 4, a multi-chapter mod for fans of the horror series.

The new update for the fanmade Silent Hill Fallout 4 mod adds some distinct P.T flair to the experience, as seen in the latest trailer from developer Vivid Nation. The update, entitled Whispering Hills Past Trauma, sits between the second and third episode of the mod, serving as something of a chapter 2.5. In the trailer, P.T-inspired words like the phrase “We saw you, watch yourself, walking in front of yourself,” harken back to the removed demo, with the video clip ending as the player character walks through a street very similar to the one seen at the end of P.T. The Fallout 4 mod update is available to download now via the Whispering Hills website.

The latest Whispering Hills update is set to offer something for Silent Hill fans to enjoy in lieu of the official release of a new Silent Hill game. Since the cancellation of Silent Hills, many rumors have suggested that Konami is still planning to revive the dormant franchise, with some claiming Kojima will still be involved, and others believing the game is now in the hands of horror developer, Bloober Team. Konami has yet to announce any upcoming Silent Hill projects, but fans remain hopeful.

The mod’s developer hasn’t disclosed to what extent the new Fallout 4 Whispering Hills update will take inspiration from P.T. While not seen in the trailer, it’s very possible that P.T‘s mysterious antagonist Lisa may make an appearance in some capacity. Whatever the new update will add, it’s clear from the baby crib seen in the trailer that P.T‘s themes of family, loss, and infancy are likely to be featured, but fans will have to download the mod for themselves to find out just how much Silent Hills and P.T have impacted its design.
