With Fasnacht Day upon us, Bethesda has revealed a brand-new Fasnacht-themed event for Fallout 76 with additional goodies, including themed rewards such as the coveted Fasnacht Mask and exclusive in-game loot. Zorbo’s Revenge, Season 7 of Fallout 76, and the continuation of The Unstoppables! vs The Diabolicals launched in December 2021 and tasked players with recruiting a team of villains to build a war machine in order to help the evil Dr. Zorbo defeat Captain Cosmos and take over the universe. Similar to previous seasons in the calendar, Season 7 brought a variety of new and seasonal in-game events, Daily and Weekly Challenges, new rank rewards, and exclusive content for vault dwellers exploring Appalachia.

Launched in 2018, Fallout 76 took a slightly different approach and introduced online multiplayer to Bethesda’s popular post-apocalyptic RPG series, Fallout. The title, however, suffered from several major controversies and a disastrous launch that labeled it as one of the worst games to release in 2018. Attempting to revitalize the title, Bethesda fixed many issues with patches, followed by larger updates to regain player interest and re-establish its player base. Fallout 76‘s first major update came with Wastelanders, which fixed almost 1000 bugs and revamped the experience with NPCs returning to the Wasteland, a rebuilt storyline, and the reintroduction of dialog trees previously seen in the classic Fallout games. This was followed by The Legendary Run update, Fallout 76‘s very first season which featured brand-new monsters, characters, quests, legendary items, and introduced players to the title’s very first Battle Pass along with its S.C.O.R.E. rank progression and system. Fallout 76 has continued to grow with new content, and has won back many of its players since launch.

Officially announced on Bethesda’s website via the Inside The Vault update, Fallout 76 has launched its latest event with Fasnacht Day, offering numerous goodies for players who participate. Heading to Helvetia, players can kick off the festive event by speaking with the Master of Ceremonies, then helping the bots with party prep activities. Players can then head to the center of town where they can participate in the Fasnacht Day Parade by defending the Protectrons until they reach the end of their route. Once completed, lighting up the effigy of Old Man Winter will garner rewards including exclusive loot and themed rewards, such as different variants of Fasnacht Masks. Additionally, Bethesda has also revealed that players can earn double S.C.O.R.E. to max out their Battle Bass before Season 7 wraps up with upcoming Daily and Weekly Challenges.

While Season 7, Zorbo’s Revenge is expected to end in March, Fallout 76 Season 7’s community calendar appears to have even more lined up for the expanding multiplayer title. With the addition of Fasnacht Day and a Valentine’s Day event, there’s lots of new content, and a secret seasonal event is yet to be revealed. The latter is expected after the announcement of Season 8, which the studio has announced to officially reveal later this month alongside its 2022 roadmap.

Fallout 76‘s Fasnacht Day event is a perfect way for players to end Season 7 and unlock new goodies by parading and partaking in festivities. The unique event is only for a limited time in Appalachia, so interested players who want to receive exclusive freebies and experience everything that the update has to offer should do so before it goes away on February 22.

Fallout 76 is available on PS4, Xbox One, PC, and Xbox Game Pass.
