It has been revealed that the upcoming Yuffie DLC in Final Fantasy 7 Remake Intergrade will be set across two chapters. FF7 Remake Intergrade is an upgraded version of FF7 Remake for the PS5.

FF7 Remake Intergrade will feature a number of technical enhancements, including improved visuals, faster load times, and some quality of life improvements. The most exciting new addition to the game comes in the form of paid DLC chapters, which are exclusive to FF7 Remake Intergrade. These chapters star Yuffie from FF7, as she explores Midgar. The footage that has been revealed so far confirms that Yuffie enters the story after Cloud gets separated from Avalanche. Yuffie has arrived in Midgar in search of a powerful Materia that is in possession of the Shinra Corporation.

FF7 Remake is set across 18 chapters, but that number is going to be bumped up to 20. Information on the official PlayStation Store (as discovered by Attack of the Fanboy), has revealed that the Yuffie content will be set across two chapters and that it will add a new fight to the battle simulator. These are described as separate chapters, so they can likely be played out of order from the main storyline.

Based on the information in the trailer, it’s likely that the first chapter involves Yuffie and her allies sneaking into Midgar and encountering Avalanche before the Wall Market section of the game. The second chapter could involve Yuffie and her allies sneaking into the Shinra Headquarters while Cloud and his friends are distracting everyone, and searching for the Materia. They will likely enter the sealed underground area beneath Midgar and come across Deepground from Dirge of Cerberus. Tetsuya Nomura has confirmed that Cloud will fight Weiss the Immaculate in FF7 Remake Intergrade, and this could be the new fight in the battle simulator.

It’s still unclear how long the Yuffie DLC will take to complete or how much it will cost to purchase. If the DLC is only a couple of hours long, then fans might not see the value in purchasing it, especially if they have already paid money to upgrade from the PS+ version of the game. The Yuffie DLC looks like it has a lot of fanservice for the other games in the FF7 series, but players will have to wait and see if it’s worth the cost of admission.
