In celebration of real-world Valentine’s Day, Final Fantasy XIV is sharing its love through the Valentione’s Day Event, featuring a short, romantic quest and free rewards for those who participate. The event will last until February 21, so players must ensure they’ve finished the storyline and collected the seasonal items before then. To start the event’s quest, players must have a combat Job in FFXIV at Level 15 or higher. Additionally, since the quest giver is in Gridania, newer players from Ul’dah or Limsa Lominsa who have yet to unlock airship travel will need to complete the Level 15 “Envoy” MSQ of their starting city.

As for the Valentione’s Day rewards, FFXIV fans will be able to earn the Postmoogle Barding and Valentione Mobile from completing the event quest. The Postmoogle Barding is a charming festive suit of Chocobo armor designed with the iconic Postmoogle hat and bag in mind. The Valentione Mobile is a house decoration item that can be mounted to an interior wall. Additionally, players can purchase certain past seasonal items from the House Valentione Maid. This event vendor can be found within Old Gridania in front of Mih Khetto’s Amphitheatre at X:10.6, Y:8.7.

To start the Valentione’s Day Event in FFXIV, players must accept the quest, “No Love Lost,” by speaking to Lisette de Valentione in Gridania’s Amphitheatre at X:10.2, Y:9.4. During this quest, fans are tasked with helping junior Postmoogle Pukty Piko deliver letters of affection throughout Gridania. The first delivery destination is a Loitering Carpenter at the Carpenter’s Guild. After some dialogue, the player will be directed to the Botanist Guild, where the recipient can be found.

Valentione’s Day Guide For Final Fantasy XIV

Once FFXIV players complete the first delivery with Pukty Piko, they must fulfill two more. The second recipient is located near The Whistling Mill, while the third can be found close to the Apkallu Falls. After all three Postmoogle deliveries in FFXIV have been completed, return to Lisette at the Amphitheatre to receive the second event quest of Valentione’s Day, “Love’s Labors.”

To finish “Love’s Labors,” players must help a troubled woman named Aloyse, who can be found near the Conjurer’s Guild. After learning about Aloyse’s situation, the player will help her write and deliver a letter to her suitor located in the top unnamed area in Old Gridania. Finally, return to Lisette to see the quest’s conclusion and receive the Postmoogle Barding as a reward.

Once “No Love Lost” and “Love’s Labors” are complete, a new repeatable quest called “Better Letters” will become available. During this quest, fans can help NPCs write love letters, and which options FFXIV players should or shouldn’t choose will depend on the Moogle’s and NPCs’ reactions.

Final Fantasy XIV is available on PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and PC via Steam or Square Enix’s official website.
