The latest iteration of EA’s colossal soccer franchise has arrived in the form of FIFA 22, ushering in a plethora of new and exciting features for fans to get stuck into. FIFA 22’s Ultimate Team game mode also benefits from some new features, namely, the addition of FUT Heroes.

FUT Heroes are based on some of the world’s most memorable players who have etched themselves into the soccer history books as fan favorites. There are 19 Hero cards available to try out in FIFA 22, and some are inevitably going to be better than others in-game, regardless of their overall rating.

10 Jerzy Dudek (86-Rated)

Having earned hero status from his time at Liverpool thanks to his triumphs on ‘that night’ in Istanbul during the 2005 Champions League Final, Dudek returns to the field in FIFA 22.

With very respectable stats, including 90 reflexes, 86 diving, and 85 positioning, Dudek is one of the best FUT Hero cards in the game. This ranking is further justified when considering the chemistry benefits that come with selecting Dudek, as he can form strong links with Premier League center-backs; this is valuable for managers who wish to create multi-league hybrid teams.

9 Aleksandr Mostovoi (86-Rated)

Celta de Vigo legend Mostovoi etched his name into LaLiga history with his crucial brace in the penultimate game of the 2002-2003 season, which helped secure Champions League qualification for the first time in his club’s history. Mostovoi’s heroics certainly warrant his inclusion among the Hero cards in FIFA 22.

Mostovoi boasts some impressive stats, most notably, 88 dribbling, 86 passing, and 83 shooting, as well as 5-star weak foot and 4-star skills. As the highest-rated CAM in LaLiga, Mostovoi is a necessity if managers decide to base their Ultimate Teams on Spain’s top league.

8 Ole Gunnar Solskjær (86-Rated)

As a player who scored one of the most significant goals in soccer history, it is no surprise that Solskjær is among the FUT Heroes in FIFA 22. The Manchester United legend has been given an 86-rated card that certainly reflects how clinical he was in front of goal, with notable stats including 88 shooting, 85 pace, 84 dribbling, and 4-star weak foot.

Solskjær ticks all of the boxes in terms of what is required to be an effective striker according to the current meta, while also allowing managers to benefit from his strong chemistry links to other Premier League players.

7 Iván Córdoba (87-Rated)

Columbian defender Córdoba enjoyed a great deal of success with Inter Milan, winning multiple Scudetto’s as well as a Champions League title, ultimately earning him a FUT Heroes card in FIFA 22. Córdoba’s card boasts some immensely high stats; most notably, 90 defending, 87 physicality, and 86 pace (which is ludicrously fast for a center-back) making him a very formidable defender and one of the best Hero cards available.

Another advantage of using Córdoba is his ability to make strong links to other Serie A players, enabling managers to form fearsome center-back partnerships with other high-quality players such as Kalidou Koulibaly.

6 Robbie Keane (86-Rated)

As one of the highest-scoring Premier League players of all time, it is difficult to deny that Keane has earned his FUT Hero card. His legacy as a Tottenham Hotspur legend has certainly been recognized by EA, given how well-rounded his card is. All of Keane’s on-card stats are above 75 (except defending), with his standout attributes being 88 shooting, 88 dribbling, 87 pace, 4-star weak foot, and 4-star skills.

There are eight strikers among the FUT Heroes in FIFA 22, and Keane is certainly one of the best to use, especially as he can form strong links with other high-quality Premier League players.

5 Fernando Morientes (89-Rated)

LaLiga legend Morientes spent the majority of his playing career in Spain, where he won multiple LaLiga and Champions League titles with Real Madrid. Morientes’ dominance on the pitch during this time is reflected in his Hero card’s stats, with 90 shooting, 86 physicality, 84 pace, 4-star weak foot, and 4-star skills.

He also offers something different to the other FUT Hero strikers; standing at 6 foot 1 with 96 heading accuracy and 92 jumping, Morientes is a massive threat in the air. In addition, Morientes’ ability to form strong links with other LaLiga players means he is a valuable addition to any Ultimate Team; he will, however, cost a hefty sum of coins.

4 Joe Cole (87-Rated)

The ‘London Wonder’ Joe Cole made his name at West Ham United before securing a dream move to Chelsea, where his tremendous talents were rewarded with back-to-back Premier League titles. As a result, Cole has been given one of the best Hero cards in FIFA 22, with all of the attributes expected of a top-class right-winger.

With a highly desirable set of stats, including 90 dribbling, 88 pace, 86 passing, 84 shooting, 4-star weak foot, and 4-star skills, Cole is one of the best right-wingers in the Premier League and in the entire game.

3 Abedi Pelé (89-Rated)

Pelé’s finest moment was undoubtedly his Man of the Match performance in the 1993 Champions League Final, where he led Marseille to their first and only Champions League title. Pelé’s outstanding performances at the Ligue 1 club ultimately led to EA’s decision to give him one of the best Hero cards in FIFA 22.

His blistering 91 pace, combined with his 91 dribbling and 87 passing, places Pelé as one of the best CAM cards in the game. In addition, being one of only two Ligue 1 Hero cards means that he is even more valuable to managers, as he can form strong links with the likes of Lionel Messi.

2 David Ginola (89-Rated)

French maestro Ginola spent his career playing for many different clubs, but his time at PSG was arguably when he was at his best. EA has recognized Ginola’s Ligue 1 heroics by giving him one of the best Hero cards in the game. With 91 dribbing, 90 pace, 88 shooting, 87 passing, 84 physicality, 5-star weak foot, and 5-star skills, Ginola is easily one of the best players in FIFA 22.

Additionally, Ginola can form strong links with Ligue 1 players, including Kylian Mbappé, which is a frightening prospect for anybody unlucky enough to face a team with those two in it.

1 Antonio Di Natale (88-Rated)

Di Natale enjoyed a long and impressive career in Serie A, spending an incredible twelve years at Udinese. He was as clinical and cunning as a striker could get, scoring hundreds of goals throughout his career. Di Natale’s Hero card certainly reflects the quality that had during his playing days, with an incredible 91 shooting, 90 pace, 90 dribbling, 85 passing, 4-star weak foot, and 4-star skills.

Strikers with Di Natale’s attributes are extremely rare on FUT; his unique blend of pace and technical ability positions him as one of the best strikers in FIFA 22 and therefore justifies his ranking as the best FUT Hero card.
