As if being cast in franchises like It and Stranger Things isn’t enough, Wolfhard has worked on dozens of additional movies and television series – dipping his toes into rom-coms, animated ventures, and dramas. Wolfhard is even a director, helming the 2020 funny short Night Shifts. This precocious and emotionally charged teenaged performer won’t stop, either. He’s set to star in 2021’s Ghostbusters: Afterlife.

This new Adult Swim series reimagines old, creepy fairy tales for the late-night Cartoon Network crowd. Well-known actors affiliated with horror media voice various characters in the surreal, dark segments conceived of by animator J.J. Villard.

Wolfhard voice acts in “Boypunzel,” the debut episode. A retelling of “Rapunzel,” the episode tells the story of a long-haired boy trapped into a brick tower by a witch.

9 Pugsley Addams In The Addams Family (2019) – 5.8

The computer-animated remake of The Addams Family features Wolfhard as the voice of Pugsley Addams, the chubby son of Morticia and Gomez. In the film, Pugsley prepares for a major Addams clan rite of passage: a Mazurka, or Polish folk dance.

While The Addams Family didn’t impress critics, the family-friendly feature did well in theatres. Wolfhard is joined by the likes of Oscar Isaac, Charlize Theron, and Chloë Grace Moretz in the movie, who voice the rest of the clan.

8 Tyler In Dog Days (2018) – 6.2

Comedic actor Ken Marino directs this under-the-radar rom-com whose plot revolves around dogs and their owners who reside around Los Angeles. Wolfhard is one of many recognizable faces to appear in this ensemble feature, which is revered more for its pooches than its people.

Wolfhard’s character Tyler plays a pizza delivery driver who helps a widower find his lost dog. In exchange, the widower helps Tyler with his academic studies.

7 Young Boris In The Goldfinch (2019) – 6.3

John Crowley’s ambitious adaptation of Donna Tartt’s complex novel about a teenager who comes in possession of a special painting stars fails to live up to its source material, but it still features compelling performances from its actors. Oakes Fegley plays Theodore Decker, a teenager whose mother dies in a terrorist attack at the Metropolitan Museum of Art.

In the aftermath of the bombing, Decker is given a painting called The Goldfinch by a mysterious, dying man; Decker movies to Las Vegas to live with his estranged father, where he brings the painting along with him. Decker befriends Wolfhard’s character Boris, a shy Ukrainian immigrant, and the story sets off from there.

6 Richie Tozier In It Chapter Two (2019) – 6.5

Bill Hader plays the adult Richie Tozier in It Chapter 2, but Wolfhard makes a cameo as the younger Richie during a pivotal flashback scene involving Pennywise the Clown. In the sequel, Richie grows up to be a successful comedian who returns to Derry to help the rest of the Losers Club defeat the shapeshifting Pennywise.

While Richie isn’t explicitly gay in Stephen King’s novel, director Andy Muschietti decided to write the character as a closeted gay man based on his personal interpretation of Richie. It Chapter 2 isn’t as good as the original, but it still did very well in theatres.

5 Richie Tozier In It (2017) – 7.3

Much of It‘s success rests with its talented ensemble cast of child actors, Wolfhard included. Wolfhard shines as the foul-mouthed and energetic Richie Tozier, a member of the Losers Club who has no problem spilling the beans about how he really feels.

Wolfhard prepared for the role assuming his character suffers from undiagnosed ADHD. While it’s never stated in the book, Richie’s waning attention span and skittish nature have led many fans of the book to believe this is the case, too.

Wolfhard made his TV debut on the popular CW series The 100. The series follows a group of juvenile detainees who are forced to return to Earth almost 100 years after most of the planet was destroyed in a nuclear holocaust to determine whether or not the planet is inhabitable again.

Wolfhard’s character Zoran appears in the second season episode “Many Happy Returns.” Zoran is a deformed boy whose ancestors survived the apocalypse by adapting to an itinerant, desert-dwelling lifestyle.

Wolfhard appears in another cherished CW series: Supernatural. This long-running paranormal show centers around the Winchesters, two brothers who fight demons, witches, monsters, and every otherworldly entity under the sun.

In season 11’s episode “Thin Lizzie,” the brothers investigate the murder of a couple staying in a hotel that was once the home of infamous serial killer Lizzie Borden. Wolfhard plays Jordie Pinsky, the son of one of the hotel’s owners.
