New set photos from 2022’s The Flash show Ezra Miller’s Barry Allen meeting with an alternate version of himself. Long left in development hell, the Scarlet Speedster’s solo film finally got off the ground earlier this year alongside some exciting news about who would star. Miller will be reprising his role as the DCEU hero, as will Ben Affleck as Batman. In addition, Michael Keaton will be returning as his version of Batman from Tim Burton’s 1989 film. Little is known about the plot, save for the film is likely adapting the Flashpoint comics arc, one of The Flash’s most famous storylines.

In addition to two Batman’s, The Flash will also feature Sasha Calle as Supergirl and Kiersey Clemons as Iris West. Filming has been underway on the film for quite some time and set photos have slowly trickled out, hinting again at the plot of the film. The DCEU seems to be gearing up to introduce some sort of Multiverse, giving the franchise somewhat of a reset after the release of Zack Snyder’s Justice League.

That reset may include multiple Barry Allen’s if new set photos are any indication. The Flash Film News posted photos of Miller talking with what looks to be another Barry Allen, likely from another timeline. The pair can be seen being filmed while walking down the street having an intense conversation. Check out the set photos below:

With reports already circulating that Grant Gustin is making a cameo as The Flash in the upcoming film, it’s no surprise that there could be even more Barry Allen’s in the film. This could be either a Barry Allen from another universe or even the character at a different point in his life. Notably, the actor opposite Miller can be seen wearing what may be an eye-line for a CGI character, meaning the double could be turned into a Miller lookalike in post-production.

As set photos continue to roll out from The Flash, the plot of the film still remains a mystery and that’s likely for the best. Despite the fact that Keaton, Affleck, and Calle’s roles as Batmen and Supergirl have been revealed, there is still an air of excitement around the film as it will be the first major release post-Snyder Cut featuring The Flash and the film will give audiences a glimpse into the DCEU’s future. How The Flash could affect that future, and even the past, will be one of the most exciting aspects of the long-awaited film.
