Many Floribama Shore fans were surprised that Mattie Lynn Breaux did not return for the fourth and potentially final season of the hit show, and we’ve found out what she’s been doing since season 3 ended. Mattie was memorably introduced to the house last season as a friend of Gus Smyrnios, but she quickly entered into a romance with Jeremiah Buoni. Jeremiah won over fans with his personality and style. Though the housemates supported the romance, Jeremiah devastated Mattie when he said that he didn’t want to take their relationship long-distance. Many viewers thought that Mattie would be back for another season of dating drama, but she has been up to other things since she was seemingly let go by the network.

SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY

Mattie joined the cast of the hit partying show Floribama Shore for season 3. The towering Louisiana native immediately fit in at the house, which makes sense, as Mattie is no stranger to reality television. The 31-year-old previously starred in Party Down South on CMT and appeared in the entire 5 season run of its spin-off show, Party Down South 2. Mattie then had a two-year hiatus before moving to MTV and appearing on The Challenge. The brunette beauty made an impact on War of the Worlds. She made it to the finals before returning for Total Madness. The competitor then joined the cast of Floribama Shore to show off her hard-partying ways. However, her time on MTV was abruptly cut short.

It appears that Mattie no longer has a platform on MTV following a string of controversies. Mattie was arrested for her third DUI in November 2020. She pled guilty to a misdemeanor DUI and was sentenced to seven days at Davidson Country Jail, according to TMZ. It appears as though Mattie has had issues with alcohol in the past. Therefore, a hard-partying setting might not have been the best option for the 31-year-old. MTV memorably took a stance on racism and fired The Challenge champion Dee Nguyen following her controversial tweets about the Black Lives Matter movement. The resurfacing of some of Mattie’s racially insensitive tweets might also have contributed to the fact that Mattie isn’t back for Floribama Shore season 4. In addition to no longer appearing on Floribama Shore, Mattie has confirmed on Twitter that she is also done with The Challenge. If her DUIs caused MTV to part ways with her, some fans feel that the brunette beauty is being unfairly discriminated against. They feel that alcoholism is a disease. Nonetheless, Mattie appears to be doing well. Her reality television career may have come to a close for now, but Mattie (like Codi Butts and Candace Rice) is absolutely sizzling in her Instagram grid. She enjoys posing during provocative photoshoots, and the results often earn comments from MTV personalities. These comments prove that Mattie is well-liked by her former peers. Mattie has over 553K followers who enjoy seeing her travel. They like learning about her life on Instagram. Mattie’s following says a lot about her general popularity.

Though MTV appears to be finished with Mattie, some of her fans are hoping that she can make a comeback on another network. Fellow Floribama Shore star Kortni Gibson sat out the season out to focus on her mental health. Meanwhile, Nilsa Prowant is pregnant. Fans of Mattie hope that she is also making wellness her priority. The reality star’s bubbly personality, romantic dramas, and penchant for partying made her a good fit for Floribama Shore. Fans of Mattie want her to overcome her personal issues and find success on another network or through other ventures.
