Five Nights at Freddy’s: Security Breach lets players get up from the security desk and explore Freddy Fazbear’s Mega Pizzaplex as a young boy named Gregory who must dismantle the mall’s animatronics in order to escape. By decommissioning Chica, Roxy, and Monty, Gregory can recover their parts and use them to upgrade Freddy, who acts as his companion throughout the entire game. These new parts allow players to access new areas of the Pizzaplex and uncover new secrets, but the eerie animatronics only become more horrifying after Gregory takes them apart.

Upgrading Freddy in FNAF: Security Breach allows players to explore new areas of this free-roam installment in the FNAF series and unlock a ton of new collectibles that can be found throughout the Pizzaplex. While Chica and Monty’s upgrades will allow Gregory to access new areas of the mall, Roxy’s eyes can be used to spot hidden items, some of which can’t be found otherwise. These upgrades are most useful in the postgame endings in which Gregory chooses to stay in the Pizzaplex after 6:00 am since players won’t face off with Roxy until after 5:00 am, leaving very little time before he’s able to escape.

In order to dismantle Roxy, Gregory has to enter Roxy Raceway and find the missing head of a Driver Assist Bot since he’s not tall enough to operate the go-karts on his own. After assembling the bot and getting on the track, Roxy will jump down to block his path, so Gregory will throw himself from the car and send it flying straight into Roxy. At this point, Gregory can dismantle her and recover her eyes from the wreckage, earning players the “See No Evil” trophy in Security Breach.

Roxy’s Eyes Reveal Secrets In FNAF: Security Breach

Like the other animatronics in FNAF: Security Breach, Roxy won’t actually die when Gregory’s go-kart collides with her. Instead, she’ll become stronger than before, ramping up the difficulty just before the endgame. Roxy will get up pretty quickly and chase Gregory, who she can still hunt thanks to her impeccable hearing. Once she locks onto his location, she’ll rush at him and lunge, making her more difficult to avoid and much more aggressive than before. Without her eyes, the Faz Cam and Fazerblaster’s flash can no longer stun her, so Gregory will have to be careful not to let her get too close. However, Gregory must also use her new aggression to his advantage and trick her into lunging through the wooden doors blocking his escape. After he manages to get past this initial chase scene, it’ll be 5:40 am, leaving only 20 minutes until the doors open at 6:00 am.

FNAF: Security Breach Players must then return to Parts and Service in order to upgrade Freddy with Roxy’s eyes. With this upgrade, Freddy will be able to see through walls to spot secrets and presents hidden throughout the Pizzaplex, which will be outlined with a pink glow. If players choose to stay after 6 am and continue exploring, they can use Roxy’s eyes to look for 16 Retro CDs inside the mall. These CDs can be played in a secret room deep beneath the Pizzaplex to reveal more of Vanessa’s tragic backstory, as well as the mysteries of how Five Nights at Freddy’s: Security Breach’s fun Pizzaplex became so sinister, but players can only enter if they’ve completed most of the game by dismantling all three animatronics and obtaining the Faz Cam.
