With the start of a new month, Fortnite Crew subscribers can access the latest Fortnite Crew Pack, which includes V-Bucks and an exclusive monthly skin and cosmetic set not available any other way. The August Fortnite Crew Pack has arrived for current subscribers and is available now to purchase for new subscribers, featuring the Summer Skye skin. Apart from being a variant of Fortnite original character Skye, the Summer Skye skin was designed by concept artist and Fortnite fan Nollobandz and references all the other fan-made skins that have made it into Fortnite so far.

Fortnite Crew is Epic Games’ Fortnite monthly subscription service, which grants players access to the seasonal Battle Pass, a number of V-Bucks to spend every month on new items from the Item Shop, and several specially curated cosmetics. The subscription to Fortnite Crew requires a recurring payment, so players will need to spend real money if they want to sign up. The Fortnite Crew membership rewards are usually rewarded on the first day of each new month, and the August Crew Pack launched on August 1. Players will need to subscribe before August 31, 2021, if they want to get the Crew Pack. They will need to subscribe and log in before 10 a.m. EST on August 9 to grab the bonus Rift Tour items.

The Summer Skye outfit includes a secondary style, Stormy Skye. The base outfit references other fan designs that have later been added to the game, including those for Cozy, Rapscallion, Boxy, Aura, Pinkie, and Dark Rex. The outfit also can be equipped with and without Skye’s signature hat.

A subscription to Fortnite Crew costs $11.99 USD, billed monthly. Players can purchase this subscription from the Item Shop or in the Battle Pass tab while in-game. For fans of Fortnite who frequently spend money on V-Bucks and other items, the monthly subscription may be a good deal. It is also a good way to get the Battle Pass if players have not yet purchased it.

It is possible for players to purchase the subscription to access the Summer Skye skin and cosmetics, then cancel later this month to avoid the monthly charges. All Fortnite Crew Pack items and V-Bucks received while subscribed can be kept forever, so this may be a viable option and a good way to get reimbursed for the Season 7 Battle Pass. Players should note, however, that they will not be reimbursed for the Battle Pass again if they choose to cancel their subscription and later re-subscribe to Fortnite Crew.
