Fortnite: Every Secret Base Location in Chapter 2 Season 2

FortniteChapter 2 Season 2 introduced a spy theme to Battle Island. With new POIs being bases of operations for both team Ghost and team Shadow, new henchmen and boss NPCs being added to the game, and silenced weapons and disguises taking center stage in this season’s meta. Living the life of a spy has changed the way players play Fortnite, and has changed the map as well.

While four of the five new POIs are on the outer rim of the map-making their impact on the game a little lackluster, there are plenty of minor changes around the map that carry the spy theme across the island. There are six secret bases around that players can infiltrate, eliminate henchmen, and loot up. This guide will teach players where each location is and what is special about each secret hideout.

Misty Meadows secret base in Fortnite

Five of the six secret bases are Team Shadow safe houses and are easily spotted by the black-clothed henchmen who patrol the premises. The first secret base is located on the larger island in the middle of the lake north of Misty Meadows. This safe house is literally a house situated in the middle of the island.

These secret bases can be quite dangerous as they are surrounded by henchmen who will fire on-site, so landing on the island can be a bit dangerous if a player dives in recklessly. The best course of action is to land on the roof of the house and break the roof with your pickaxe. No henchmen will be on the second floor so gather loot there and then make your way downstairs. There are two henchmen inside the house which you will need to knock down and then use to open the henchmen’s chest inside the house.

Outside of this, there isn’t much else to be gained from this location. Eliminating the henchmen will grant the player to some higher tier loot, and the henchmen chest has the best loot in that location.

Weeping Woods Secret Base in Fortnite

This second secret base is the only one on this list that belongs to team Ghost and it acts as a miniature compound. However, this base is a little more dangerous as it has security cameras and turrets outside guarding the premises. The best course of operation is to approach the building from the north and use the port-a-potties to gain access to the inside of the building.

The base is located directly east of Weeping Woods and can be easily seen on a player’s map.

There are eight port-a-potties outside but only one grants the player access to the building. It is the one located on the right side farthest away from the building. This will send the player inside of the building where they can loot up. There may or may not be Ghost henchmen inside the building so be wary of your surroundings.

Inside the building, there is a fairly obvious trap that will actually lead players to some good loot if they are quick enough. A room on the lower level has a single chest inside being highlighted by three green spotlights. If a player manually opens the chest the floor will collapse and they will be greeted by three enemy turrets. If a player shoots the decor holding up the chest the chest will drop its loot without activating the trap. However, in the same corridor where the three turrets are is a henchmen chest filled with high tier loot.

The lack of henchmen at this facility makes opening the henchmen chest a bit of a struggle, but dawning a disguise or carrying a henchman from a different location will grant the player access to the best loot at that location.

Holly Hedges Secret base in Fortnite

The secret base situated between Holly Hedges and Sweaty Sands is a great place for players to go to get more loot after they have landed at a nearby POI. Not a lot of player land here initially due to its difficult nature to infiltrate, but after a player has a couple of weapons in their load out the Holly Hedges Secret base is a great place to go. The base is located directly north of Holly Hedges and is a small shack easily spotted by the henchmen patrolling outside.

The only way inside the secret base is through the front door where a player will be greeted by even more baddies. Eliminating the henchmen will result in a plethora of loot to choose from, BUT make sure to save one of the henchmen to scan to open the henchmen’s chest located in the secret base.

Pleasant Park Secret Base in Fortnite

This is one of the trickier bases to gain access to as it is located inside of the Pleasant Park soccer field. Pleasant Park is a hot drop meaning loads of players come here each match so sneaking into the secret base may be a bit difficult.

The soccer field is patrolled by two to three henchmen, one of which has a sniper rifle. Players will want to find a weapon before trying to access the base as there are multiple henchmen inside the base as well. To enter the base players will need to use the port-a-potty on the south-east corner of the soccer field. Once inside, down the henchmen and use one of them to open the henchmen’s chest inside the bunker. the bunker also has three other normal chests to open as well as floor loot.

The way out of the bunker is the same way as you came in. There is a port-a-potty players will need to access to leave the secret base.

Frenzy Farm Secret Base in Fortnite

Directly east of Frenzy Farm is a gas station that also functions as a secret base of operations for team Shadow. A few henchmen can be spotted above ground patrolling the station, but the larger portion of the base is underground.

To access the base players will need to enter one of two ways. A dumpster by the bus stop in front of the gas station will grant players access, but the safer entrance is through a port-a-potty inside the shed behind the gas station. This will transport players into a safe area of the base where they can grab a weapon and head further into the base.

The base has multiple henchmen inside of it so be wary of your surroundings. It also has multiple regular chests as well as a henchmen chest. Dropping here will net players some really good early game loot, but being one of the safer secret bases a player is sure to be accompanied by one or two enemy players.

Craggy Cliffs Secret Base in Fortnite

This secret base is located at the top of the hill east of Craggy Cliffs. It is actually the old radio station from Chapter 2 Season 1 that players needed to visit for a challenge. The radio tower has since been taken over by team Shadow and is filled with henchmen.

The henchmen loot is arguably the best part of this last secret base. Players will need to access the facility and navigate the building while avoiding or eliminating henchmen in close quarters. On top of that, the secret base is far removed from the center of the island, so players who choose to visit this location will likely have a long travel to escape the storm.

If players do choose to go to this secret base, the easier way to enter is through a dumpster located near the front of the building on a path leading up to the secret base. The dumpster will transport players into the facility away from harm into a room with floor loot to use to eliminate some bad guys.
