Making a Donation to the War Effort in Fortnite Season 8 will bring changes to the map and earn players some XP toward their Battle Pass. Fortnite Season 8 has already kicked off with tons of changes to the map. After the destruction of the Mothership that ended Season 7, Alien Crash Sites can be found all around the map. These areas are void of all life and are typically only visited to complete the new Character Quests. These are new missions that task players with helping out the various NPC scattered around the map. One of these challenges requires players to make a donation for the war effort.

Players can use the gold they collect during a match in various donation boxes around the map. If players donate enough gold, the donation box will be replaced with either an item box or a turret. Players can then return to this location to use the turret to take down hostile wildlife or other enemy players.

Players can earn extra XP for donating to the war effort and clear a Character Quest. They will first need to speak with J.B. Chimpanski to unlock his Punch Card. Players will be able to find him to the south of Catty Corner. His challenges include:

  • Make a donation to the war effort donation box: 12k XP.
  • Deliver a car to the Weather Station: 14k XP.
  • Harvest 100 metal from an alien crash site: 16k XP.
  • Talk to three characters: 18k XP.
  • Interact with a mounted turret: 20k XP.

Considering using a donation box is the first challenge to come from J.B. Chimpanski, players can use it to get acquainted with the donation box feature. Donation boxes can be found along the coasts on the Fortnite map.

Where To Find Donation Boxes For The War Effort in Fortnite Season 8

The map above, created by Fortnite.gg, reveals the location of every donation box in Fortnite Season 8. A good way players can determine if they are getting close is to look for the bag with the dollar sign on it on the map. Players can approach this location and put gold inside the box to complete the challenge. When enough gold has been placed in a box, a turret should spawn in that area. Players can use this turret during the match.

Near almost every donation box, players will also find a donation board. These can be used to vote for weapons to be unvaulted and spawn as loot during a match. The first weapon to reach 100% funded is the one that will spawn, so players should donate often to see the items they want to appear during the season.

Players can earn more gold and level up in Fortnite Season 8 by opening chests, defeating enemies, or opening safes or cash registers around the map. They can donate as often as they’d like, but they only need to make one donation to complete J.B. Chimpanski’s quest, earn XP, and unlock the next one on his Character Punch Card.
