The Operation: Sky Fire event will act as season 7’s conclusion in Fortnite. All throughout the entire season, players have worked together to take on alien invaders. With the assistance of Doctor Slone, players have been tasked with eliminating Trespassers, stealing alien weapons, and sabotaging their secret tech. The season is scheduled to come to a close starting on September 12th, leaving players just a few days to clear out any remaining battle pass tiers. To kick off season 8, players will be treated to an interactive event with Operation: Sky Fire.

This isn’t the first time Fortnite has tackled live events in order to show off new content. In season 7, players were treated to an interactive Ariana Grande concert, with the chance of obtaining her skin from the Item Shop. To go back even further, players were able to play through a live Travis Scott concert to celebrate his Astroworld album. The thing about these events is that they are only available for a limited time. Experiencing them firsthand is the best way to go about it.

How To Play Operation: Sky Fire in Fortnite

For this Fortnite event, players can jump into a group of 16 players and experience the beginning of the new season. While the contents of the actual event remain hidden until the day of, the title does imply that players will be tasked with taking down the Mothership in a fiery blaze of glory. This does make sense since the entire season has been building up the rebellion against the alien invaders. Whatever comes out of this event will surely tie directly into the main theme for season 8.

With only a few days left before the end of season 7 in Fortnite, players should push to complete any battle pass challenges that they are sitting on. Once season 8 begins, all the season 7 battle pass content will be locked away and will likely not return in a future update. Not only that but gathering every Alien Artifact is required to unlock the variety of different Kymera skin alternatives. It’s even been rumored that Naruto will be making his way to the battle bus for season 8. Operation: Sky Fall is shrouded in mystery and all of the answers are waiting on September 12th.
