Clark Kent, better known as Superman, comes to Fortnitethis week as Season 7’s Secret Skin, and players will need to complete new challenges to unlock his base skin, style variants, and multiple cosmetics. Superman and his quests have not yet gone live in Fortnite, but it has been speculated that they will be added to the game in the Tuesday update during Week 9 of Season 7, which takes place on August 10. Dataminers also found that three new NPC quest-givers will arrive on the island at this time, including Armored Batman near Dirty Docks, Beast Boy in Weeping Woods, and Clark Kent himself at The Orchard. Completing a total of five quests from these three characters will help players begin to unlock the Superman and Shadow Superman outfit and accessories.

Similar to the Fortnite Season 6 Neymar Jr. secret skin and quests, there are 10 total quests players will need to complete to unlock the initial cosmetics in the set. Then, players will need to complete a number of Epic Quests throughout Season 7 to unlock the remaining items. Fortnite fans will need to be prepared to wait several weeks before their collection can be completed, given there are only seven Epic Quests released each week. Here’s how to unlock the Superman skin and its Shadow Superman variant style in Fortnite Season 7.

Complete Superman Quests to Unlock the Superman Skin in Fortnite Season 7

To begin the Superman quests in Fortnite Season 7, players will need to unlock the basic Clark Kent skin by completing NPC quests. There are nine of these quests total, and each one comes from either Armored Batman, Beast Boy, or Clark Kent. While the quests and NPCs haven’t appeared in-game and are still subject to change upon release, dataminers have leaked the following quests and related rewards:

  • Take damage from a player and survive (Beast Boy)
  • Reach speed 99 in a vehicle (Beast Boy)
  • Use a Launchpad (Armored Batman)
  • Fly a Saucer (Armored Batman)
  • Visit three Different Named Locations (Clark Kent)
  • Visit the Mothership or an Alien Biome (Clark Kent)
  • Defeat Aliens (Armored Batman, Beast Boy, and Clark Kent)

Completing one of these NPC quests from Beast Boy, Armored Batman, or Clark Kent will unlock the Call to Action Emoticon. Completing three NPC quests unlocks the Superman Shield Spray. Finally, completing five of the NPC quests will unlock the Clark Kent base skin.

After unlocking the Clark Kent outfit in Fortnite Season 7, players will need to equip it to continue with their challenges. The remaining Superman quests come from Clark Kent himself, and players must complete two of the activities dressed in his outfit to earn the rewards. Apart from these challenges, players will also need to complete a number of Epic Quests from across Season 7, especially if they want the Shadow style variant for all the Superman cosmetics. The other seven Superman quests, and the rewards players will earn for completing them, include:

  • Glide through rings as Clark Kent (5): The Daily Planet Back Bling
  • Use a Phone booth as Clark Kent (1): Secret Identity Emote, Superman’s Cape Back Bling, and the Clark Kent (Superman) outfit
  • Complete Epic Quests (63): Kal-El’s Cape Back Bling
  • Complete Epic Quests (68): Banner Icon
  • Complete Epic Quests (73): The Last Son of Krypton Loading Screen
  • Complete Epic Quests (78): Solitude Striker Pickaxe
  • Complete Epic Quests (84): Clark Kent (Shadow) outfit, Superman’s Cape (Shadow) Back Bling, The Daily Planet (The Late Edition) Back Bling, Solitude Striker (Shadow), and Kal-El’s Cape (Shadow) Back Bling.

Assuming players have been keeping up with their Epic Quests in Fortnite Season 7, they should be able to unlock everything by Week 12 at the earliest. If players have missed a few Epic Quests, they can still complete these any time until the end of Season 7, giving them ample time to unlock everything in the Superman set. Players can also get extra XP from Epic Quests toward their Season 7 Battle Pass to unlock more cosmetics and rewards, making them worth completing anyway.

It is also possible the Rift quests that launched this week for the Ariana Grande Rift Tour concert can count toward the required number of Epic Quests, as they are considered Epic rarity. However, even though the other Superman Quests appear to be Epic rarity, it is not clear whether these will count toward the number required to unlock the remaining cosmetics. Players will want to keep an eye on Epic Games’ and Fortnite’s official social media for more announcements and information as it becomes available.

Fortnite is available on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, PC, Nintendo Switch, and Android.
