Fortnite has made Arcane‘s Vi playable in the game with a skin. Vi is one of the main characters in Riot Games’ widely acclaimed animated Netflix show Arcane along with her sister Jinx. Both are also playable in the show’s source material, League of Legends. Jinx is a dangerous troublemaker with a penchant for explosions and less-than-calculated risks, and Vi is a street thief turned cop who makes up one half of a crime fighting duo for Piltover’s enforcers with Caitlyn, another character from the game and show.

Arcane launched in late 2021, bringing a small cast from Riot’s flagship game League of Legends to life. The release of the show was celebrated with collaborations with several other games including Magic: the Gathering and Among Us, and now Fortnite fans can join in on the fun as well. Arcane season two is a long way off so fans will have to stave off the itch for more episodes with content like this for the time being.

SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY

An article by Engadget today revealed that Epic Games is adding Vi to Fortnite as a skin, following her reveal in a brief video posted to Fortnite‘s YouTube channel. Although the skin lacks Vi’s signature hextech gauntlets, there are a number of other purchasable cosmetics in the shop connected to her to make up for it. Additionally, Jinx’s Fortnite skin will be relisted in the shop alongside her sister for a time, as well as the Jinx Arcane Bundle.

The skins and other items will be added to the shop later today at 7:00 ET. Among the other cosmetics that are included in the batch of items being added to the shop are a punching practice emote, and Jayce’s Warden Hammer, which would make a suitably epic harvesting tool for anyone thinking of bringing Piltover’s finest enforcer into their Fortnite game. Additionally, anyone who purchases the Arcane Vi Bundle from the store will also receive a Piltover’s Finest loading screen.

Following the success of the show, League of Legends released several Arcane skins of its own to build hype and draw fans into the game. Arcane skins for Jinx, Vi, Caitlyn, and Jayce were given for free to League of Legends around the release of the show, with Firelight Ekko being added some time later as a purchasable option. Fortnite‘s skins for Vi and Jinx are not the only additions coming to the game in the near future, however. It is suspected that a Green Goblin skin will be coming to Fortnite in celebration of the recent release of Spider Man: No Way Home, joining Tom Holland’s Spiderman as a playable skin in the game. There’s a lot to be excited about for Fortnite players and more skins that have not been leaked yet are surely just over the horizon.

Fortnite is now available on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
