A new rumor claims Moon Knight may join the Fortnite roster around the time of Disney+ show’s fortchoming premiere. Should this prove accurate, Moon Knight won’t count as the first Marvel hero to drop onto the Island in recent weeks. Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 2 brought Doctor Strange to the battle royale experience in a Battle Pass just a few days ago, for instance. To the delight of many a Spider-Man fan, Prowler entered the mix around the same time, as well.

The advent of Chapter 3 Season 2 has proven quite the ride for Fortnite players. In addition to Doctor Strange and Prowler joining the fun, users also recently received access to the drivable Armored Battle Bus, complete with mammoth-sized cowcatchers and a pair of functioning gun turrets. Season 2 further introduced a limited-time no-building mode, which Epic Games just extended by unleashing a permanent No-Build battle royale experience titled Fortnite Zero Build. In the event that a brand-new rumor proves correct, the development studio could have something equally exciting up its sleeve.

Citing known Fortnite leaker NotPalo, another prominent figure in the community, ShiinaBR, has claimed a Moon Knight x Fortnite collaboration could launch in time for the upcoming Disney+ series. ShiinaBR further noted that Disney and Epic Games previously invited Fortnite content creators to a premiere event for the Oscar Isaac-starring TV series, which could point to Moon Knight joining the roster sometime soon. A similar set of circumstances happened in the lead up to the battle royale title’s Dune collab, the leaker added.

As of writing, there’s nothing concrete to suggest the Marvel Cinematic Universe’ newest hero will enter the Fortnite Item Shop as a playable character. Moon Knight dropping onto the Island does not seem beyond the realm of possibility, though. As noted above, both Prowler and Doctor Strange recently entered the fray. Plus, the likes of Shang-Chi and Spider-Man have previously starred in Fortnite crossovers following a major Marvel Cinematic Universe release.

Fortnite has enjoyed a significant number of changes in recent months, following developer Epic Games’ launch of Chapter 3. The game-changing update went live across all platforms late last year in December, introducing a new map, characters like Spider-Man, and transformative gameplay mechanics such as web-swinging, sliding, and camp-building. Fortnite’s Chapter 3 content continues to evolve thanks to regular updates, too, one of which added the aforementioned Zero Build mode to the title’s Solo, Duos, Trios, and Squads playlists.

Fortnite is available across all platforms.
