The latest Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 8 tease from Epic Games included artwork suggesting the Tilted Towers may return sometime in the very near future. Fortnite’s Tilted Towers counted as a fan-favorite Point of Interest that Epic introduced during Chapter 1 Season 2 in 2018. Considered among the battle royale’s best landing spots, this particular locale more often than not played host to the some of best loot available on the map in any given game.

Tilted Towers received an update for several seasons following its advent in 2018. In fact, one such update – Season 5 – merged the Tilted Towers and Salty Springs to bring about the amalgam known only as Salty Towers. Nothing lasts forever, though; as such, the Towers vanished after Season X unleashed a black hole that consumed the entirety of the Fortnite Chapter 1 map. But it looks like the once-popular Point of Interest may soon make a comeback.

SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY

Today, Epic Games shared a blog post detailing the return of Late Game Arena mode on October 5. Artwork accompanied the news, depicting several characters dropping onto the island – one of which includes a brand-new Renegade Raider design. Something else is receiving the bulk of the buzz from the Fortnite community, though, namely a supposed glimpse of the Tilted Towers. The Point of Interest appears at the very bottom of the below image, positioned on the right beneath the extended gun barrel. While Fortnite fans remain convinced this serves as proof positive that Tilted Towers will resurface in Chapter 2 Season 8, Epic Games has yet to confirm as much.

Many Fortnite fans agree that Tilted Towers‘ return from hiatus would further liven up the battle royale map. How exactly the POI would be reimplemented remains a mystery, of course, but it’s one that warrants exploration. Plus, Season 8 is already packed to the brim with interesting content releases. It wouldn’t hurt to add in a blast from the past for good measure.

Chapter 2 Season 8 has introduced a whole host of exciting additions. The Battle Pass, for example, included a Carnage skin. And within days of Carnage’s arrival, Epic rolled out an Eddie Brock skin and Venom emote based on the Tom Hardy-starring movie sequel, Venom: Let There Be Carnage. Season 8 may very well pack in a few more unexpected surprises.

Fortnite is available as a free-to-play title across Nintendo Switch, PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Android, and iOS platforms.
