Season 6 of Fortnite has begun, and so have the weekly challenges that require players to complete simple tasks for large amounts of XP. This week’s challenges are mainly centered around getting players use to the new map and gameplay mechanics, while one requires players to collect hidden items scattered around a new POI. Here’s where players will find the golden artifacts at The Spire.

Each new season of Fortnite adds a game-changing mechanic that players have to adapt their playstyle to and that adds another layer to the robust battle royale experience. Season 5 populated the map with friendly NPCs that radically altered how Fortnite is played, and Season 6 has added to the island’s inhabitants by throwing in some animals. As well, there are three new large POIs and a slew of smaller landmarks that have replaced Season 5’s massive desert area. Now players must scurry around Fortnite’s new The Spire POI in search of three golden artifacts.

The Spire Golden Artifacts In Fortnite

One of the first challenges of Fortnite Season 6 requires players to collect three golden artifacts hidden around The Spire. This is the new POI located at the center of the map that is surrounded by a primitive civilization. Finding these golden artifacts may seem daunting at first, but there are actually quite a few scattered throughout the city. A lot of the buildings have an artifact tucked away in the corner, and they will glow blue which makes them easier to locate. The artifacts are either golden llama heads, golden statues of Anubis, or Meowscles bobbleheads. They can be found near chests, next to spire shrines, in market booths, or tucked behind destructible furniture.

The biggest challenge when attempting to complete this quest is the number of players who land at The Spire. As well, The Spire Assassin lurks around every corner and will hunt down any players she comes across. It’s better to explore The Spire later in the game after everyone has left so players have free reign over the POI. Otherwise, players will be running from players and a deadly NPC while attempting to locate and collect elusive golden artifacts. Once all three have been obtained, players will be rewarded with 20k experience.
