Days after unleashing Fornite Chapter 3 Season 2, Epic Games rolled out a fully constructed and drivable version of the Armored Battle Bus. The Battle Bus is essentially a blue school bus that’s been armed to the teeth with powerful weaponry. Two turrets sit on either end of the vehicle, while a large cowcatcher covers the front end. Needless to say, none of Fortnite’s other drivable vehicles provide the same defensive and offensive advantages.

Drivable cars and trucks joined the Fortnite experience during Chapter 2 Season 3’s Joy Ride update in August 2020. The update introduced four different vehicle types – a sedan, two-door sports car, pickup truck, and semi-truck. Epic Games introduced players to the Ferrari 296 GTB a little less than a year later, offering a battle royale driving experience like no other on the market. Following the recent release of Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 2, the development studio dropped yet another must-drive vehicle onto the island. But unlike previous additions to the roster, Fortnite’s newest automobile needs more than one person to take charge.

SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY

Recently, Fortnite (via PCGamesN) received a brand-new drivable vehicle in the form of the Armored Battle Bus, a souped-up school bus decked out with a pair of usable gun turrets and a mean-looking cowcatcher attached to its front end. At present, players can only find the Battle Bus at The Sanctuary, specifically in the area’s easternmost side. Fortnite users would do well, then, to avoid landing in Sanctuary since the armored vehicle will likely be up and operational.

One look at Fortnite’s drivable Armored Battle Bus makes it clear that taking full advantage of what it has on offer will require more than one person. Those mounted turrets won’t operate themselves, after all. The vehicle seems quite formidable, too, even without the use of Fortnite’s high-powered turrets. Players have already figured out that the cowcatcher can plow through almost anything – buildings included. Combatants roaming around on-foot should keep a sharp eye out if this behemoth of a vehicle comes barreling down the street.

Drivable Battles Buses are not the only additions that have changed the flow of Fortnite in the last several days. Epic Games recently unleashed a limited-time No Build mode as well, effectively removing the experience’s trademark building mechanics. And datamined details suggest Epic may consider leaving the new game mode in permanently, a move that, if true, would allow players to choose whether or not to join modes with building-centric gameplay options.
