Another exclusive skin for Fortnite has arrived through a partnership with Samsung, but this one features an iKONIC K-Pop crossover. It’s no secret that Fortnite is a phenomenon at this point, helping to generate $3 billion in revenue for Epic Games in 2018 alone. As a result, companies have been chomping at the bit to get involved with the property in some fashion, but few have been as effective as Samsung with its now infamous exclusive Galaxy skin.

Despite Apex Legends‘ emergence as a serious challenger for the battle royale throne – clearing 25 million players in its first week of availability – Fortnite has remained a popular choice for players. In the wake of that realization, it’s unsurprising to hear that more crossovers akin to the recent in-game Marshmello concert and even the recent addition of a Weezer Island in Fortnite are in the works.

Given the success of past collaborations, Samsung will again be returning to the limelight with an exclusive skin and emote. This time, however, the focus will be on the K-Pop group known as iKON. The three companies have partnered to launch the iKONIK Skin (based on iKON member Jung Chanwoo) and a new Scenario emote for Fortnite that’s said to pair well with the the iKON tune “Love Scenario.”

These are all exclusive to players who own the Galaxy S10, S10+, or S10e and the set will remain accessible to Fortnite players until December 31, 2019. In order for consumers to score the attire, they only need to boot up Fortnite on the device, sign into their Epic Games account, select the iKONIK outfit from the Store, and register their credit card. Don’t worry, Samsung wanted to ensure gamers that the card won’t be charged.

These exclusive are both fun and frustrating depending on which side consumers find themselves on when it comes to Samsung products: owner or onlooker. Truth be told, it’s still fun to encounter someone rocking the infamous Galaxy skin within Fortnite, and that sense of “wow” surely adds to the price tag attached to the in-game outfits through re-sellers such as eBay. It doesn’t sound as if Samsung aficionados will be able to do that this time around, at least based on the instructions for redeeming the iKONIK set, which is almost certainly a conclusion drawn from the hindsight of the earlier Galaxy offer.
